End of Turn
Germany are asked if they want to establish Vichy? Damn right says Adolf!
The New Free French home country is Gabon. I didn't get exactly what happened there so will review that in due course.

No. All ships that are in a sea area can still fight. But the ones that are disorganized can't be used for initiating searches, interception and shore bombardment.ORIGINAL: warspite1

Hmm.. with many of the CW battleships in the North Sea having expended their ammo, one wonders what shape the Kriegsmarine is in and if they may want to make a sortie into the North Sea to run off the CW? The CW effectively have 3 remaining battleships that can fight and 2 cruisers. Should the Germans decide on a combined, this could get really nasty.
The CW may have transports, etc at stake in the North Sea and regardless, if they get run off, that will leave the BEF in a out of supply state while being disrupted and knock their defense down to 3 points; easy meat for an attack by the Germans to finally eject the CW from the continent for the time being.
Oh the possibilities.. [:D]
So if you use sharebombardment you cannot fight sea battles? Is that right!!!???[X(]
Hmm.. Perhaps I may have confused being disorganized as to being unavailable.
I had a fight between the CW and the Italians after the Italian battleships had provided shore support. When the screen came up to initiate combat, none of the battleships were there, so I assumed they were out of the picture except to take damage.
Better to have the Kriegsmarine stay at home then. That is a lot of 15 inch guns floating around in the North Sea. [:D]

So what do the Allies do now? Well with Italy in the war and France out, the CW needs to take its naval responsibilities seriously! Many carriers are still awaiting their aircraft though....
Meanwhile in Finland the Soviets try and ground strike the lone Infantry Corps at Viipuri. With Soviet fighters heavily outnumbering the Finnish air force, the Finns can only sit and wait for the dice.
The results were disappointing for the Soviets... no hits achieved. Even so, the Soviets can get a 4:1 attack on the Finnish Infantry and so decide to go for it. Mannerheim tries HQ Support, but Yeremenko decides to save his bonuses for later. The Soviets do bring two bombers to the party - which once again cannot be attacked due to the Finnish air force being totally outnumbered.
The HQ Support succeeded but the Soviet bombers maintained the 4:1 odds (no modifiers). The Blitzkrieg CRT is chosen...
...its a 2. That poor throw results in one loss each + all the Soviets disorganised. The port falls to the Soviets.

The Germans spend their time moving units toward the east, while the Japanese set about the Communist Partisan in Shanghai. They are also getting frustrated by the situation in China and decide to launch a 2:1 attack (no modifiers)....
Yammamoto tries to provide HQ support, but there are no aircraft that can make a difference.
The HQ support roll is a 2 - taking the odds to 3:1. The Chinese choose the Assault table and.....
....its a 10! Both Chinese are destroyed for the loss of neither units nor disorganisation.

For the attack on Shanghai the Chinese choose the Assault table and the odds are 3:1 -1. Maybe the Japanese have pushed their luck with this one???...
...but no - they get lucky again. They should have waited and brought the fleet out to provide shore bombardment, but in this case, fortune favours the brave and they throw a 9 (8). The attackers lose no units (just suffer disorganisation) and destroy the Partisan.

The CW cannot evacuate the BEF until the TRS are back next turn. They put the Home Fleet (reinforced with two KGV's) to sea to provide naval gunfire support if required.
The CW would like to use some Strat Bombing but cannot afford to use up the bombers....
Otherwise, with the Soviets disorganised and the Chinese in disarray, the turn is pretty quiet and proceeds to Impulse 4.
