Round 2:

Searches: Axis 3, Allies 9. Axis find and use 4 of 7 surprise points to choose sub combat. The sub takes a D, 2A, so it's safe to assume there won't be another combat round.

A somewhat dented sub limps back to La Spezia.

But not before sinking 2 CP's. I presume the Allies will take losses from the minors first.

I hope Liverpool is okay for the two aborted Allied CA's.

West Med.

The German FTR initiates. Searches: Axis 8, Allies 3. No combat.

Need to take a break now and am off out this evening, so pick up the action tomorrow.

Good decision so far, except the fact that you really are sinking my ships! [:@]

Japan moves MAR north from Canton and debarks 2 MILS to Canton.

Germany declares one combat at Brussels. 53.5:2 +21. Do the Allies wish to add HQ support or air support?

The attack is automatic and Brussels falls to the Germans.

The Germans rebase some of their fighters and a Stuka at the front.

Italy rebases the SM.79 a couple of hexes on Sicily.

Japan rebases 2 LND closer to Hengyang and an unneeded FTR back to Shanghai.

No reorgs.

Back to Allies.

M/A 1940 Allied 4

No DoW

China and France land, others combined.

CW ships to North Sea box 1, 2x TRS, CA and 4BB's loaded with INF, MIL and INF div.
Belgian CP's to Gulf of Guinea.

US CP to South China Sea.

No naval combat.

Before moving on, a rules question: CW has INF HQ Gort (HQ value 2) in France with a Spitfire. Wavell in is Belgium. Game allows me to debark INF and MIL to France. Is that correct?

If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

I wouldn't have thought so. I think it should just be the one, unless the game is going to let you do it now but will force you to scrap something later in the impulse.

I though so also. CW can have only two units with Gort in France.

CW artillery bombards Antwerp and Hampden Brussles. CW can intercept with a Spitfire from Lille.

Germany has INF, MECH and ARM div in Brussels.

Do you want to intercept?

France sends troops to front line making it stronger.

CW debarks MIL and INF to France and INF div to Belgium.

USSR rebases bomber to Persia.
CW rebases Hurricane to Belgium and 2x Blemheim to Malta.

CW uses Gort to reorganize artillery in Belgium.

Looks like a short turn. Lucky me!

M/A 40 Axis 7

No DoW or alignments.

With the weather putting a dampener on things in Western Europe, Germany and Italy go combined. Japan calls Land.

Germany sends 2 BB and 2 CA to the North Sea. Does the RN intercept?
