Attacks are much more infrequent, but at 6,000 feet you can be quite certain of no attacks at all...

Thanks again T. That answers another question.
For what we are about to receive, may we be truly thankful.

27th Sept. 1943........

Not much to report really..........

Lost another I-boat off Tarawa....in exchange for an AVD.....bad trade.........
That's now 10 subs lost in the Tarawa Op...........
Have reset all my ASW units.....thanks to all the help I've recieved.......will let you know the results........

I've decided to wait and hold the fleet in the HIs until all air units have upgraded to Zekes....this will be 30 days or so......by then I'll have 3 new carriers.........will Steven have moved for Kwaj by then?

I'm welcome and in fact well known in all the best establishments across the great Japanese sea (known sometimes as the Pacific ocean)....only the top quality places obviously..........and in most of the Opium Dens as well........

28th or 29th Sept.....1943.......

My new ASW TFs catch and hit hard one of Speedy's subs off Iwo.....
He hits another of my Tankers off Tarakan.....
I think he will now push north towards Kwaj........but where next?
Malolap........
The probem is that my fleet still needs a month to make any effort at all..........I want all Zekes before the next encounter......

As Speedy jets to S.F. (lucky sod)......I'm left with a week of trying to fathom what to do next.......I'll let you know.......

Has our Penguin friend gone and done something rash?

You may remember that fabertong was somewhat disgruntled that he was not picked for the replacement for Pierce Brosnan in "Casino Royale", the first Bond film featuring actor Daniel Craig in the title role.

Today, the soundstage for the movie mysteriously burned up. Rumors are strange black and white feathers were found in a refrigerator that was recently delivered to the set. The refrigerator had been forced open from the inside... [X(] [:'(]

Are you saying the spy(one time actor/ penguin) came out of the cold?

I'd like to point out that I had nothing to do with the fire......I deny any involvement....and any DNA evidence in the Refrigerator linking it to me is a plant........by that second rate actor Daniel Craig..........the part was mine....the part will be mine......Oh, by the way.......has anyone got Daniel's home address....I have a token of affection I would like to send him.........

If it was a "magic" fridge....<only US commercial viewers will get this one....>
Sing to the tune of "Man on the Flying Trapeze"
..Oh! We fly o'er the treetops with inches to spare,
There's smoke in the cockpit and gray in my hair.
The tracers look fine as a strafin' we go.
But, brother, we're TOO God damn low...

You know Faber, you might be in trouble here. You have a motive, the means and no allibi (what with only two PBEMs going of which one is on hold). We might be hearing some of that "Law and Order" theme music soon. [X(]
