How Japanese want to place damage?
Put one 'D' on each of the 3, and 4-range SUBs. And put the abort, if possible, on any of the damaged SUBs. No result on the 5-range SUB if it can be avoided.

Japan aborts the combat, but stay, if possible, in the sea area.

Any aborting SUBs sail for Singapore.

Ground strike
B-26 vs 5-4 INF on mountains escorted by Hellcat from Marseilles

Axis can intercept with Italian and/or German fighter.
The Italian FTR2 intercepts. Target bomber, and stay as long as the bomber remains. If the FTR2 survives it lands in the hex it flew from.

I forgot to take picture about sub damage. Both subs got damaged and last sub dived deep to avoid further combat.

The ground strike was a 50-50 proposition. I've found that those work about one time in four. :)

GE send FTR2 FW A-1 and LND3 He 111H. Ge targets enemy FTR, fights until own bomber cleared or own FTR2 is destoryed/aborted and allies has FTR. Return to starting hex.

Hello

Thanks for the AAR.
The Axis air force seems to be quite strong. It seems that whenever there is a naval battle ner the coasts in Europe, there are some Italian or German planes.

Just curious : when some cruisers get surprise against submarines, with no convoy points involved in the fight, would it not be more efficient to use the surprise to pick a sub combat, with no convoy point, hence no damage to the cruisers, rather than decrease the damage to the surface ships and increase it to the submarines ?

Best regards

Thank you for your comment.

I often forget to check that when I play with cruisers. You are most likely correct. I will try to remember that, it has been done to me.
