No Strat bombing these turns. I imagine there are a lot of damaged 4Es now.

The retreating forces held near Kweiyang, which may mean several fully intact and rested divisions could play a strong part in the defence here in a x2 base with 6 forts. Could at least provide a stumbling block.

Liuchow is reinforced and should also be able to hold for a while.

Nagasaki gets pummelled for the hundredth time. Amazing there is something left here to hit.

During the day the Allies send masses of only P-51H and P-47N (with a few Bearcats thrown in) at SW Honshu and Kyushu. It's effective and gets about a 2:1, overwhelming the CAP eventually. He still hasn't then followed with airfield strikes, which would be devastating with all of those damaged on the ground. Happy about that.

The Chinese who have walked across the Himalayas and finally pushed all of the way toward Chengtu got past my last blockade there, magically carrying all of their necessary supply for months through the mountains. Luckily my forces retreated into Chengtu which will have enough to thwart the impending shock and have some more flying in to help.

Massive strikes both at night and during the day on Fukuoka and Shimoneseki. Huge fires, up to 600k and 300k respectively.

Some daylight sweeps are dealt with well by the IJ CAP so at least I got a few points back this turn. P-51D didn't do well against the bleeding CAP here. Interesting there were no planes in hex and the radar called all of these in soon enough to deal with the sweeps effectively.

The Allies crash across at Nanning again, and this time the IJA is well reduced, giving the attackers a 1:1, but at least they took significant disablements. I should have left another ID here, but they'll still have to move into Liuchow eventually as well, which will be more well defended.

At Kweiyang the Allies DA and don't lower forts, so that is good. We'll see how much more is coming as a few units are still moving here. I also have two more IDs to add in. Supply is still very low, so it won't be a long stand I fear.

Near Tienshui the IJA is finally pushed back after a few months of stalemate. I'll use the remainder of these troops to attempt a defense at Lanchow since it still has decent supply and since they retreated that way. [:)]

Instead of a Strat bombing run on the 15th the Allies go for a night strike on the Kagoshima fields. Our night strike rules don't seem so misplaced (as several have claimed) seeing the results of this hit.

The Allies just keep chugging at Kweiyang without a break and get a fort reduction this time. Damn. They do take significant disablements. I just hope to reduce them for the final battle at Chungking. Hopefully I can get it into the 2:1 AV range where it would be a much harder siege.

Fukuoka continues to be pummelled. The Chinese begin to break down Nanning. I'll pull back to Liuchow with everything now.

The Allies do try some daylight raiding again, which is very welcomed. Still no attention to airfields in Japan. Only Strat bombing.

On the 18th the Allies continue at night and during the day at Fukuoka. Got some 4Es but the base is burning away.

Huge crushing attacks now at Nanning and at Kweiyang. At least the Allies are also taking some damage.

The Allies build pressure everywhere in China and break through at Nanning. Kweiyang is hit next and it's bloody, but at least on both sides.

The Allies keep trying some daylight raids and this time the CAP is up to the job. These are the only points I'll gain other than a few room losses if I'm lucky, so it's good to rack them up where I can. His pilots must be a mess by this time in game, as all of this for a year and a half has been over Japanese bases.

A large night strike on Osaka/Kyoto sees the largest concentration of NF yet to meet the Allied bombers. They do hit hard, but it doesn't matter so much I the end, as fires get going to over 200k by the end.

At Kweiyang the next shock only gets a 1:2, and I think it was only a portion of the stack. I'll try to start bugging out to Chungking on the off chance he only bombards on the 22nd.

The Death Star looks to have moved South of Japan. I'm guessing it's escorting a lot of transports. I can't get a read on the size due to the massive CAP and the amount of TFs here (scrolls past the bottom of the map edge).

They nail a resource carrying TF from Babeldaob, and I lose about ten ships.

Kweiyang falls and now everything will move back as fast as possible to Chungking. I should get 3,500-4,000AV into the base, but he'll have around 10k AV if he brings it all. [X(] It's only forts 6, but that could present problems if he decides to go more quickly and shock over the river.

Kobe is the target this turn, and the NF again do wonders. Another 100+ 4E shot down, but of course the base suffers anyway.

A minor feeling it out attack at hank but everywhere else it's just pursuit and my troops staggering back to another base with some forts and measly amounts of supply.

Only another week until it's 46! [X(]
