At this stage of the war, hitting German production is a lot less important than earlier in the war. Any newly produced units won't be on the map for very long, and if you can get rid of some units that are already there, that is worth it.ORIGINAL: Orm
As Axis I am often pleased when the Western Allies use their strategic bombers on ground strike missions.
On production you are right. But how about the oil fields and the SYNTH? Those should be primary targets in the end game. No oil means that the Axis are out of options and planes can only fly one time after they arrive on the map. But with the Italians still able to transport oil out of Persia and Iraq towards Germany, that doesn't seem to be the problem on the Axis side. That's to say: until some day that the Allies are able to capture Rumania or Bulgaria, closing the route for the Middle East oil...

Yes, Ronnie's attacks on the German oil were the most productive things the Western Allies did this turn, given the poor Allied attack rolls.ORIGINAL: Centuur

I think the Italian oil already is cut off. At one point a US unit was in Ploesti, and now there is a Russian one, so I think there is a chain of Allied owned hexes blocking the Middle East from Germany. I may be wrong, but I don't think so.
I thought I knew how to play this game....
RE: Global War AAR in Pictures
You are correct. Here's Germany's oil situation. As now, the Germans have 5 oil points saved and 2 oil RPs. Two oil RPs and 1 saved oil points have been lost (so far) to allied strategic bombing.ORIGINAL: Courtenay

Turn 32. Nov/Dec 1944. Axis #3. IJN. China Sea.
Japan not willing to concede the China Sea to the USN just yet decides to initiate combat against the USN. In fact, considered it was their duty to the emperor to seek out, engage and destroy the enemy air and naval forces operating off of Japan's coast, or die trying.
