Air losses last turn. Not sure what happened last turn no battles showed up on the map or on the report. I can only guess he attacked the crap out of my airfields again. Italian airbases were disbanded so Im not sure if they are part of the number. It was a mud turn but who knows.

AGN - 3rd Panzer army launches an assault and creates a leaky pocket. He does not have a lot of depth here nor does he have any Corps. I would have done better in the pocket but I ran into some fortress hexes that had not shown up from recon. I have no illusion that this is a game breaker but if he pays no attention to it I may be able to cause some good ratio losses for a change.

As he creates more and more corps I am noticing a lack of depth along his front. This may lead to opportunities such as this one as he packs his assault areas.

AGC - Between the fort bug and fixing non combat units keeping decay down whole sections of my fallback lines went "poof" the last few turns. 2nd Panzer army is still in reserve here along with 2 infantry corps.

AGS - He has a massive array of Corps here. I have 2 Panzer armies that are both in reserve and partially in the line. I am expecting a pretty brutal summer offensive here. I also have what equals to an infantry army in reserve.

Most of my Luftwaffe is near here but because of his relentless airfield attacks I am down maybe 400 airframes from where I thought I would be. He has killed more recon then anything else and my loss ratio is a consistent 10-1 in my favor. Maybe the new patch air rules will slow his attacks down because massive losses do not seem to deter him.

My game vs Kamil is almost to your turn.

You are ahead land wise. not sure what your OOb is at.

Why dont you retreat behind the river line?

That way you can put 50% of the front in static mode and save a crap ton of men. its easy to take back and hold hexs when your behind river.

Also you will be able to focus your tanks more say north of rivers where it is easy to hold pockets, because of trees.

Just an idea.

The 43/44 spring fall back line will be interesting, still thinking on that 1.

90% of my front is in static mode.

So far its paying off very well.

I am hoping to stay on this side of the river til the summer of 44.

If you do then you have a very good chance of winning.

Whats the OOB look like?

Are your troop numbers staying even, going up or declining fast or slow?

afv's don't seem to ever be a problem after 42.

nice job counter attacking where you can.

You look to be in good shape. As far as keeping the army from breaking.
Your about 1.4 million over the breaking mark.

Seems after 42 you can't run out of afvs even if you try heheh.

You seeing a difference in combat rations?

looks like many panthers. U are lucky ketza .  I got a game on turn 92 and i got 200 panthers d. and looking at reinforcements i can see we get 2 panther bats with 96 each begining may and 20 produced each turn in addition to those.

There was a Panther production bug in earlier versions. It was producing 4 times more (80 per turn instead of 20) Panther D's than it should have. I believe this was fixed in 1.04, but it was a data change so any games started pre 1.04 won't have this fixed, only games started after 1.04.

Summer 43

June!

A lot of large attacks along the Soviet offensive axis of advance. No breaks in the line.

The changes in the airbase attack rules really had no impact on his airbase attacks. One airbase was hit 22 times. The ratio is still excellent but his airforce is over 20k strong. I shudder to think how big it would be if the raios were not this high in my favor.

AGN - He broke into the pocket but it was sealed again much tighter this time. He has railed units into the area but I have yet to spot any corps.

I forgot to take a screenshot but losses after my attacks were 5-1 or so in my favor. I cant really touch his stacks of guards corps but I have been picking on divisions and anything that is weak along the front. I am also looking for the next mini pocket.

I am using fortress units in a very liberal fashion with the toe set at 50%. Seems to be stopping the fort decay issue in its tracks. When he gets next to a fort unit I disband it and rebuild it 2 hexes back. This is helping me keep my defensive line 3 hexes deep across the front with a minimum fort level of 2. When he then moves adjacent it increases to 3 in most instances.

I also found a treasure trove of some 20 SUs in OKH this turn that were dispersed in the area of his main push.

6/3 - 6/17 1943

Full force of his offensive fronts hit on 6/10. To my surprise quite a few holds:

Final units killed in pocket. Not a huge win but the type of stuff I need to do in order to draw this thing out in the face of his hordes. 5 Guards divisions are 2 less guards corps to deal with later.
