It's a long way from where he is to Berlin. Is it possible
for you to hold out 87 more turns?

As long as I can keep my army intact I have a fighting chance.

To be honest, I don't think the german stratgy will work. The Soviets reach your MLR, build up forces, bring in supply, overhelm your defense, you retreat, play this again. If you only have 2 lines left, it will cost him lets say 20 turns. Maybe 30. Not enough. Either you defend more aggressivly or you plan more defensive lines.

I'd massivly shorten the lines. His numbers don't profit that much - he may overfill his hexes, increasing his losses. But he breaks through anyway, so why bother with that? But you would have more reserves and would be able to launch more counterattacks or build more lines.

At least in my theory [:D]

The start of turn 316. A lot of my units have disappeared following Willie's attack. Overrun and destroyed. Willie gets a ground shock of 120 for the next 42 turns. For any chance I have to ensure that he is unable to pocket any large force.

I have started pulling back and you can now see where I will try and delay Willie. About 1/3rd to just under half of my units in the front line have gone into reorg and I expect to loose them next turn. I am not going to be able to take another 42 turns of this pressure.

Not sure if I have made a mistake but I have started redirecting units from digging entrenchments around Berlin to start filling in my last MLR.

Good luck. But why are the Allies landing in Italy? A mistake in the news?

This is the start of turn 317. Willie has just rolled over the top of my MLR and is now up against my 2nd last line. I have been moving units out of Berlin to man the last MLR. If Willie can break through that 2nd line he could be upon the Last MLR before it is fully manned. To help hold the 2nd last MLR I have shipped in 3 under strength divisions (yellow circle) to hopefully hold for at least a couple of turns.
