Here's what I think I need to do with the people I have on hand nearby. These five
places ought to greatly slow him down with the people in the mountains just insurance.
I've got all the Axis planes gathered together at Foggia and I've been saving them so
I'm wondering when I should use them....I guess now's the time.

Here's what the remnants look like right now. I'm blowing bridges
and leaving little road blocks and I'm thinking of setting up a strong point but
that's the same thing as an MLR, more or less, in this situation.

I keep expecting an invasion somewhere in my rear, one of those go-around things that
the real life Patton did.

Do you really need to defend so far forward on the East coast. If you fought a delaying action along that coast, you might be able to build a better defence line back in line with the three from the West.

Or do you have any powerful units? You might be able to launch a strong counter attack after the Allies break through the line.

No, actully I really don't need to defend so far forward and I'd really rather just run for it.
Get away from the source of my pain. Hide in the mountains somewhere.

And powerful units...do I have any...um...the fact that you have to ask tells half the story. I'm
not sure I have any units that I would call powerful but I think if I make a big enough stack
I might be able to make a dent. Brian's units are like 12 or 14 and my units, the best ones, are
like 7. 6 or 7. For the most part. I'm going to have to make a stack of units at least two units
high at the MLR I'm going to build. I'm going to have to use the terrain to my best advantage I think.

The running and hiding makes sense to me. It is tough defending, but especially if you can not launch some good counterattacks to plug holes.

Brian is attacking and pushing my guys backward and brushing them asside so he can
resume his advance, get around my defenders and surround them and kill them. It's
slow work because of the difficult terrain. I'm ready for his attacks on the MLR's
I've built further north.

According to the expected reinforcements there's a couple of units that are on Allied
soil and won't be forthcoming anytime soon. The other one is in the MLR on the west
side and I'll get that one.

Brian and I feel like this game is too boring to play any longer
