I have accepted a Campaign 41 as the Axis vs Searry's Soviet Union. This will slow down the turns here but I will try and keep it going as I need practice with this time of the war (if you could not tell). I still can't believe I forgot to build the forts . . .

I took your T7 save for a walk, and managed to capture Sevastopol, Leningrad, Orel Kursk and Kharkov, but came up short of Stalino. During the winter I got smashed in the south, losing Orel, Kursk, Kharkov Dtown and Ztown. I think you are in for a long, hard winter. Where the terrain is clear with no woods to slow them down there is nothing stopping the soviets advancing 1 hex row per turn.

Yep. Winter 41/42 hurts the Axis as much as Summer/Fall 41 hurts the Soviets.

T27 Soviet Attacks:

89 attacks resulting in 3 Routed, 46 Retreated, and 40 Held. These attacks are spread along the entire front.

T27 Supply Net North:

Not enough freight is reaching the front but other than a few long transits the majority are doing well.

T27 Supply Net South:

11th Army is the worst off along with the Crimea but they are improving.

T27 Air Phase:

Still no LW flying.

T27 Freight:

The supply situation is getting worse. The imperative now is to make sure I have back up rail lines repaired for when the front North - South lines fall.

T27 AGN:

Try and build a stable line that will allow me to keep my foothold threatening Leningrad. The supply situation is improving in this area but that is not saying very much.

T27 AGC:

This line is a bit more stable than AGN and I have some room to retreat without losing good bases for a 42 offensive in this area. Rotate some units out of the line for refit and send in the units refitting last turn. It is actually a bit amazing at how fast the German units refit back to decent strength - but not recovering CPPs very fast.

T27 AGS:

Refit and rebuild the line with units rotating out. I don't have much room for retreat in the Kursk and Kharkov areas. I would like to keep them, but the Soviets obviously have other ideas. I will hold them as long as possible. The Dnepr River bend cities are getting onto the rail net in the next few turns and that will help 11th Army. I am surprised that the Rumanians are being left pretty much alone with only a single attack now and then. Perhaps the Soviets believe the Rumanian propaganda? I stay with the foothold across the Kerch Straits as I think this is an important area for next year's offensive push and the Soviets seem to be ignoring the area.

T27 Soviet Garrison:

The garrison requirements just went up but no additional troops were sent there through reinforcements or withdrawals. Fortunately I still have 105% in the garrison but I will try to send some more units there to bulk it up.

T28 Soviet Attacks:

The Soviets did 79 battles resulting in 5 Routs, 40 Retreats, and 34 Hold results. The Soviets left AGN alone but have attacked just about everywhere else. 9th Army sector is in trouble with a division isolated. Another area of crisis is Kharkov. The city has been cut off to the west.

T28 Supply Net North:

A slight change in the graphics as I left the Soviet Battle markers on so you can see where the attacks have been. Overall the supply is actually fairly decent.

T28 Supply Net South:

17th and 11th Army is a stretch as well as the Rumanians on the north shore of the Sea of Azov. I am glad that this is the last week of December 41 and things should improve slightly after this turn as the winter CV penalties start to ease.

T28 Air Phase:

Nothing to report as the LW remains in Reserve.

T28 Freight:

Unfortunately this situation is not going to start improving until Mar 42.

T28 AGN:

Swap out some units for others in hopes of getting some of them back up in form. The supply situation is improving but blizzards a just too bad of weather for any true improvement.

T28 AGC:

Put out the fires that I can. The division is no longer isolated. Supply situation is improving but can only deliver what it receives.

T28 AGS:

I had to pull back to the city of Kharkov itself but I am trying to hold on to it if at all possible. Kursk is looking okay at the moment but there are two more months to go with the CV penalties and three months of the logistics penalties. The Rumanians start to pull back having recognized that the weather trumps their 'elite' status.
