Iboat operations....whither should Copahee go? First Inclination is closer to Laysan, 2nd thought east for better coverage while Laysan based planes search there...
Re: Spanking Lowpe (NJP72 vs Lowpe (A))
ZPK reports a hit!?? I call FOW!
2 questions though - NavS or ASW? Day or Night?
Great use of language: "Super Stack attack" (alliteration and rhyme) & "donnybrook" (how apropos today!)

ASW daytime attack for the ZPKs.... Fog of War my a&$.
I sent the Copahee due west and north of Laysan in an attempt to get at the Iboat that is detected....also put some floats on night search to help corral that Iboat.
The 77th LRP combined with a Mountain Gun unit and the Chinese AT unit ....that is the highest point value of AT devices ever fielded on the Chinese front. I wonder what will happen?

Heya Lowpe, loving your work!!!
Did you know that the forum migration has messed some of your images up? Seems that pages 153-173 are affected. I haven't gone back to see if earlier pages have similar issues.

That is distressing to hear as I don't keep any images, all is uploaded to Matrix site. I will look into it after I finish my current turn.

China...China...China...Japan focus bombs the hex defending against the three tank divisions in the vector attack from Changteh...and good news there our artillery should arrive on the morrow in combat mode I think. 4 miles away...
But the baptism of fire by the 77th LRP...and I believe they did well. Hard to tell what they shot at, Piat squads are wasted shooting at infantry pretty much....and we have a strong amount of AT power in the hex. But it is a good result...and we are rotating out the beat up units. The 59th Corp, which was a 600 point beast is over 50% disablements and needs R&R. The 56th AT unit is totally disabled, but saved her valuable guns. Both will start to pull back as more troops flow into the hex and defensive lines.
PS: Just found out that a broken down corp (into A/B/C) that is subsequently destroyed as a third, will not resapwn and is gone forever.
But have no fear, intrepid readers, for upon reassembly of the remaining two fractions the resulting unit reverts back to their original TOE. Whew.
But what happens when it is down to only one fragment...will it revert back to a full sized TOE? Will find out shortly....

Re: Spanking Lowpe (NJP72 vs Lowpe (A))
Good news on both these fights....Patung will get reinforcements shortly, and Kieno should get more than 500 AV and 4 Artillery units on the morrow. Troop rotation began there today so some of the combat value was in reserve no pursuit mode pulling back. The 14th Corp (US TOE) is fighting there and needs to pull back suffering 50% disablements.
It also looks like Japan is rotating troops at the Changteh fight too...they can bring in fresh divisions and be below the stacking limit.

Yes it is unfortunate. I commented on the issue on my AAR as well. It would seem that attachments from posts done on the previous forum have not migrated well and are all jumbled up....Lowpe wrote: Fri Mar 18, 2022 11:36 amHey Sammy, thanks.Sammy5IsAlive wrote: Fri Mar 18, 2022 9:07 am Heya Lowpe, loving your work!!!

I posted a message on the new forum trouble thread....I don't have the heart to investigate it further, as it seems images from other posts on other subforums have been jangled.
Which is a shame, because I normally go back and look at older graphics to help my decision making.

No Iboat sightings in and around Midway, no sighting still on the map around Pearl (but on tracker), and one Iboat in the Gilberts we are closing in on....let's see if we can finish this one off. Transferred an Avenger squadron here, increased the ASW percentage, and have 8 hunter killer squadrons arriving this next turn.

When you are down to one fragment, it becomes the parent and if you click on the OOB button it gives you to option to reconstitute the Division. When you do, the full TOE is available (but maybe not the actual devices!Lowpe: But what happens when it is down to only one fragment...will it revert back to a full sized TOE?

Indian Tank Upgrades:
Do you AFBs keep the Valentines around, or jump out of them asap for frontline fighters? Trying to get to those sweet Sherman Vs? Are there ever enough Sherman Vs to fill out your armor? How long does it take?

Japan hitting Chungking's runway...and industry a bit.
I am not sure how the oil is getting to Chungking to be used, and I am also unsure on the arrival of resources...which had been steadily declining in China for a long time. My old guess is oil from Lanchow and Resources thru Burma, but it doesn't ever pool there. Bigger forts in my Burmese bases are doing it.

Re: Spanking Lowpe (NJP72 vs Lowpe (A))
At one point Japan had cut off the oil flow from Lanchow to Chungking, but it has returned for the last few days somehow? How in the world are they ferrying it?
Re: Spanking Lowpe (NJP72 vs Lowpe (A))
A look at Kunming....
so if resources will flow from eastern India thru Burma into Kunming...there is a chance oil might too. Not sure how I could get any into India without ownership of Magwe...but taking Magwe is now very important for China.

Re: Spanking Lowpe (NJP72 vs Lowpe (A))
Ledo oil is not flowing thru Burma to Kunming to China...India is at breakeven in oil produced and used currently. Abadan has 16k oil, we will bring that into India and see if anything happens.

Re: Spanking Lowpe (NJP72 vs Lowpe (A))
Why the focus on oil? You need fuel to power the heavy industry in China, and there are no refineries in the Chungking basin.
Re: Spanking Lowpe (NJP72 vs Lowpe (A))
Hey, that is a really good question.
