• In 73,55 (near Nanning) our forces will continue attacking. With luck the two enemy divisions in Nanning will not march into the hex just prior to combat. Our forces will be joined by two Bde sized infantry units but too late for them to join the attack.

• In Nanning we had great results and will make a Shock attack tomorrow.

• The river crossing between Mengtze and Kunming went perfectly. Enemy positions were broken, enemy units routed, and massive casualties inflicted.

• The dastardly Imperials put up a CAP trap between Nanning and Liuchow but our guys soldiered through the losses.

No disabled combat squads or engineer squads in that last battle at Cam Rahn Bay. Nothing left but support squads and devices now so it should clear in the next attack or two. I presume they cannot retreat.

What do you look at for weather predictions...

1. click on the base and check current weather
2. use the weather map
3. use the weather hotkey
4. show clouds?

It seems to me the weather changes three times: night, morning, afternoon.

Hotkey 3.

Rain is bad, overcast is bad. Thunderstorms not ideal because it's more of a crap shoot than average, but usually has to suffice.

I thought you meant checking for ordering missions.

For actual weather the mouse over shows weather that just happened (AFAIK), but it's never been clear to me if that pertains only to the afternoon, afternoon being the most recent phase.

In any event, specific weather might (I dunno) vary from battle to battle, so to see what happened I figure only the combat report's individual battles matter.

• Two days until the river crossing into Liuchow. It's likely that one tank unit will still have elevated Disruption. 4,164 AV will be crossing against 70,000 enemy troops.

• Finally the units near Tsuyung have been supplied (but many tons have been lost doing so). The two large units are still pulling out of the hex to lessen over stacking, but the remaining units will attack tomorrow. 907 AV will be attacking.

• Our forces in Kunming are sitting tight while the large Chinese Army unit recovers (now split into /A/B/C, each with >60 disabled squads).

• Cam Ranh Bay is fully repaired (by now, of course) and the port is expanding nicely. As early as tomorrow over stacking will be relieved.

Alfred confirmed one time that the forcast shown is what it was at the end of last turn, not necessarily continuing into the turn you are working on. For that, looking at the big map forecast zones gives a general indicator of the trend in that zone, but specific weather in the hex at any point during the turn can vary. Best you can get is a guess at the likelihood of good or bad weather. I have tried to figure it out and (without doing stats) believe that light cloud and moderate cloud (not sure that is the right term) almost always mean good weather through the current turn. Anything else can change suddenly.
No matter how bad a situation is, you can always make it worse. - Chris Hadfield : An Astronaut's Guide To Life On Earth

• We've cleared up the extreme over stacking near Tsuyung (impossible to clear *all* over stacking there) and now all units have proper supply.

• The Empire has moved some units out of Kunming and now our troops there are probably greater in number than the enemy. Not sure about combat power.

• Most of our troops who just stormed Liuchow will move out right away and head for Wuchow via the secondary road which passes Kweilin on the south. Wuchow has about 14,000 defenders and should fall quickly. After Wuchow the plan is to move on Canton and then Hong Kong. Before all that is finished we should see forces freed up from liberating Singapore.

India, Burma, Thailand, Indochina

Japan, Korea, Manchuria, Russia

• The troops for Okinoerabushima are loading.

• Forecast over the Home Islands is thunderstorms, which is probably as good as we will get. B-29 target for tonight is Yokohama/Yokosuka Manpower. This will be the debut for the B-29B, all of which are flying from Saipan. That puts the target just within normal range for them, meaning they will carry 36x 500 lb bombs. As usual the B-29-1 and B-29-25 groups will be flying to extended range.

Nago is blocked from direct access by Okinoerabushima, and Okinoerabushima requires a landing-shock attack. The Okinoerabushima landings will wait until the battleships reload for bombardment. Then, likewise, the Nago landings will wait for the battleships to rearm again.
