Hi all,
ORIGINAL: goodboyladdie

I am under a constant attack from pop ups and tojans. I have Spy Doctor and McAfee on my side, but just cannot seem to get rid of them - any ideas? I am getting really pissed off after four days of it. I clean up, but everytime I go online they are waiting for me again...[:@][:@][:@][&:]

You can try using the following 3 free programs to get rid of the problem:

#1
AVG Free v7.5 (AntiVirus)

#2
Ad-Aware (MalWare remover)

#3
SpyBot Search & Destroy (MalWare remover)

Also if those can't help you can try posting your system scan done by:

HijackThis

If you need help for getting all those programs just let me know...

Evening tithe... Getting ready to go out to see The Dark Knight.
I heard it was very violent and sadistic. I think I'm going to pass on that one.

I'm looking forward to the Mummy III. [:D][:D][:D]....no really I am!....seriously!

The Mummy movies are great fun. Love em. [:D]

Heath Ledger outshone EVERYBODY in the film.
Wasn't hard to do, seeing as how it was so ... dark.

I guess I read too many Batman comic books as a kid. This doesn't seem to me to have anything much to do with how I think of Batman.

That was my house as a kid. I have never read a comic book in my life. [8|]

NG, it wasn't actually that heinous. Plenty of people get killed in very nasty ways, but it's not reveling in the gore. I wouldn't cheat myself of the experience if I were you.

As for The Mummy III... Thanks, but no thanks. Same with X-Files: I Want To Believe.
I'm on the fence with the XFiles. Pretty much I've moved on and I think it's time Fox and Scully did the same

As to the Mummy III, I just can't help it. The whole series has been one over the top, cheesy bit of fun goodness.

I'm not saying I won't see Mummy III, but I'm not sure it's worth the exorbitant cost of a cinema ticket. I can wait.

Definitely dollar theater for me. [;)]

Mmmmmmmm.  It is very easy to get a particular rum from Haiti here, called Barbencourt Rhum.  Even the "cheap" one is very smooth.
Aaahh, get back to your vacation, slacker. All too soon, you'll have to rejoin the mindless parade of working stiffs, while those of us on permanent holiday continue to enjoy our petty amusements until my pal Grim the Reaper comes along and says it's time to go tits up.

I got up before sunrise today (hence my early presence here) and sat on my front terrace listening to the sea come in over the rocks until the sun rising slowly brought light and color to it, with each facet sparkling and changing from moment to moment creating a thousand beauties beyond the ability of any artist ever to capture.

I live in a place you can only get to by taking a boat to the nearest village, then walking almost three kilometers along a primitive path (if you're lazy, you can hire an oxcart in the village, which is how I get my heavier supplies delivered).

I think of myself as the luckiest of men.

Damn, where do you live?? [X(]

Hi all,
ORIGINAL: Terminus

It's AVG 8.0 now. 7.5 has been discontinued.

I prefer AVG v7.5 to newer AVG v8.0 - BTW, you can still download AVG v7.5 and you can update it normally to latest possible engine and virus threats!

I can still play, it's just about finding the time between scans. My AV software is making sure I do not export anything to my friends. My keyboard is a real PITA. It is constantly missing strokes since this problem turned up. My processors ae working ovrtime running all my scans and blocks...

Good Carl!

BTW, I suggest that you update those on-line to most current state and initiate the manual full scan for all three of those!

My suggestion of order of running full scans would be:

#1
AVG AntiVirus

#2
SpyBot Search & Destroy

#3
Ad-Aware

Let me know if you need more help (with HijackThis log and then usage if neeeded for example)...
