US completes W76-1 nuclear warhead Life Extension Program

The US Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) celebrated the completion of the Program of Record for the W76-1 Life Extension Program (LEP) on January 23 at the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas.

The W76-1 is a refurbished W76-0 warhead, which is placed on the re-entry vehicle for the submarine-launched Trident II D5 ballistic missile. This LEP has strengthened the safety and security of the United States by extending the warhead’s service life from 20 years to 60 years.

Austal Further Improves its Frigate Design to Better Match Latest FFG(X) Requirements

I think the word “gun” is a coverup, because US is not officially leave INF yet. I believe that weapon is more like a rocket or ballistic missile that can be dispensed in massive quantity, acting like gun artillery barrages but with IRBM range. Four BRF Fleet Replenishment Tankers Ordered for the French Navy

Chantiers de l'Atlantique and Naval Group were notified yesterday of an order for four Logistic Support Ships (LSS). Previously known as FLOTLOG (for Flotte Logistique), the BRF (bâtiments ravitailleurs de force or force replenishment vessel) contract is valued at 1.7 Billion Euros. HII Receives U.S. Navy Contract for Construction of Two Ford-class aircraft carriers

The U.S. Navy has awarded a contract for the construction of CVN 80 and CVN 81 to Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Newport News Shipbuilding. It is the first time in more than three decades that HII Newport News Shipbuilding division is awarded a multi-ship contract from the U.S. Navy to build two aircraft carriers. The contract modification is valued at $15.2 billion for the detail design and construction of the Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carriers Enterprise (CVN 80) and CVN 81, which is yet to be been named.

The German navy stands ready to deploy its ships to the Black Sea, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday in a statement.
