Sending some Fletchers for their April '45 upgrades. Can't really afford to wait for them so can't upgrade all of them at once.

• The troops on Amami Oshima need to rest, and now that we have base forces on the island we must also relieve the over stacking. The USMC division will be pulled out. We are also running low on supply on Amami Oshima so must remedy that.

• Naval search will begin from Amami Oshima tomorrow covering farther into the Yellow Sea, reaching into the Sea of Japan, and strengthening search just south of the Home Islands.

• Rain over the Home Islands tomorrow.

• 1,544 AV at Nago.

• 1,673 AV at Naha. Two of the divisions are well recovered but one has a large percentage of squads to recover, as do the regiments. We will wait one more day for Disruption to drop even further, get whatever additional squad recovery we can and then make an assault.

• Still recovering and resupplying near Tsuyung.

• Still maneuvering around Kunming.

• An enemy unit formerly just east of Kunming is now seen moving on the road to Chungking. Recon of Chungking has faded for the moment, but I am wondering if the area was partly stripped to provide troops for elsewhere.

• Our troops between Tuyun and Kweiyang are moving on Kweiyang, despite high Disruption from the river crossing. I wonder if they should press on to Chungking after that?

• Tomorrow the last division will enter Canton, assault the day after. Tactical air strikes begin tomorrow.

• The addition of Nelson to a bombardment group and the use of the RN fast battleships made a difference. Notice the return of Richelieu!

• The Marines have been lifted off of Amami Oshima and are heading south. Over stacking is reduced but still more than +60%; that will have to do until the hold outs are cleared.

• The Imperials made fighter sweeps over Amami Oshima but it looks like our guys got the better of the situation.

• Thunderstorms predicted over the Home Islands tomorrow. Manpower nighttime strikes ordered on Yokohama/Yokosuka. There are 269 B-29's ready, including 104 B-29B within Normal range (36x 500 pound bombs each).

• 1,550 AV at Nago.

• 1,333 AV at Naha. Not sure how long until the next assault, but I think at least 3 days.
