Defeated Allied Units Retreating!
we take Bangalore, the enemy was forced to retreat towards Trivandrum on the West tip of India. We have dispatched two of our TK rgts to pursue the enemy next turn, the rest will move on Madras. Tomorrow our para rgt will drop into Manargudi, the base South West of Madras which is empty I guess. This means the defenders of Madras will be cut off.

bad news, bad news... [:(] There is a UK division, an Indian TK btn (the one that was earlier forced to retreat), a couple of UK art rgts and base forces at Madras, totalling 600+ assault points. This will really be a tough nut to crack. I´m just no fan of urban warfare, this can wreck your divisions in no time. I don´t even want to think about the fort levels yet. We will use 150 bombers from Yanam to keep on attacking the airfield (with hopefully better results soon) and the bombers from Hyderabad will switch over to ground attacks, hopefully this time they will concentrate their attacks only on the UK division. I guess when I would like to see only one unit being attacked they will disperse their attacks! [;)]
If the UK div gets disrupted enough I see a chance to take the base without too many casualties. When we will start the assault we will have some 3.700 assault points to attack which would be a 6:1 troop ratio against the enemy. I have high hopes that my tk rgts will be a major factor, although tanks should not perform good in urban assaults.

Chengting expands airfield to size 5
this sub is stationed some 600 miles East of Canton Island. So what are US carriers doing in this region? I have allerted all my troops and anti shipping daitais as this could be another attempt to attack one of my atolls, although I really doubt it as this would be just far too early with far too few CVs I guess. Perhaps it´s just a high value convoy that is going to Australia that gets CV escort. We will see...
