I-16s continue to do well at Petropavlosk. I am starting to regret having upgraded the others[;)]

Massive amounts of AC have been spotted at Jolo. A mass P-38 sweep and B-24 attack are set for next turn.

Red air force is down to it's last 250 planes at Irkusk so the bleeding should stop soon.

A bloody day for both sides. Irkutsk got leveled but I struck back at Jolo. In the end both sides lost 300 AC of which around 250 each was on the ground.

I am bombing Kendari and Rabaul with the hopes of destroying enough supplies and CD guns to make a landing possible. I need to focus on low hanging fruit for another few months until the Hellcats arrive and I can venture out away from my LBA again.

Gordon snuck a bombardment fleet past my subs and patrol AC and leveled Menado. This screwed up the strike coordination and cost me daerly at Davao. In the end AC losses were about even but losing 30 P-38s in the air and another 60 on the ground emptied my pools and cost me an entire month's worth of production. I am looking forward to the P-38Js coming on line in September.

Bad day to be a barge. I ran into a larger than expected mine field at Wewak and lost a bunch. My Beaufighters devestated Gordon's barges near Truk and Kendari.

Looks like Akayab will fall next turn. This will allow me to escort heavies as far as Tavoy.

Petropavlosk survives the first attack. Worked over a few Jap AFs in hopes of keeping them shut down.

Newest landing at Wewak hit the minefield bad. An attack has been ordered for today preceeded by massive close air strikes

Raids destroyed about 60 AC on the ground but did not get anywhere near making up for the loss of Irkutsk. Big raid on Cayagan is planned for next turn. Recons have spotted 300 fighters, 40 bombers, and 400 aux AC there yet only about 80 fighters come up to meet the recon flight. 120 P-38s followed by 250 heavies are set to attack. I hope the recons counted correctly.

Bombardment of Rabaul continues. I hope to land there within 2 weeks. While I could just bypass it, I figured since I really can't advance much further until my P-38s pools grow and my CVs get Hellcats, I might as well remove this pocket of resistance before moving on.

Cayagan got slammed. P-38s traded even but cleared the way for the heavies to destroy the base.

I also sank a few coastal minelayers near Tarakan. While their point value is low their impact on the Jap defenses is big.

The valiant defenders of Petropavlosk were finally overcome so my Alamo has fallen. The final cost to Japan was over 40 AC shot down and an AP sunk. Not bad for a single base force and 36 obsolete fighters.[&o]

Cayagan got slammed again so I offset the losses at Petropavlosk.

Morotai was finally taken also.

Low morale limited strikes in the DEI. Bad wetaher has now moved into the South Pacific so units are standing down.

A MSW swept mines at Rabaul without being shot at. More are on the way to see if the CD guns have really been neutralized.

5 MLs were sunk at Cayagan. They are worth their weight in gold.
