United States Navy dive bombers operating out of the newly-reoccupied port of Koepang reached out yesterday and struck hard at a Japanese convoy headed for the port of Waingapu, 150 miles to the northwest on Sumba Island. At least one enemy troop ship was damaged severely, and a patrol craft was known to have been sunk.[/font]

A British Albacore torpedo bomber operating out of Koepang struck a Japanese troop transport 50 miles southeast of the port of Waingapu on Sumba Island. There was no word on the condition of the enemy ship.[/font]

[font="Times New Roman"]In the early hours of the morning, an American task group of warships ran into Waingapu harbor and registered a number of hits on enemy shipping. Known to be sunk in this action was an auxiliary vessel and the troop transport Fukko Maru.[/font]
