41 of 50. That is embarrassing.

This was a general knowledge test. Some answers were "better" but maybe not "righter" than others
Trust good old wargamers to skip the "correct" answer and choose the "wrong" one based on arcane knowledge. Outsmart yourself. Then declare the test invalid.
I have been to the Ardennes forest but I never ever heard of the "Little Battle of the Bulge" because I did not read that particular bookabout Italy.
Never was to good on what was decided at the conferences. Austria was "anschlussed" in 1938 that kinda muddied some water for me. Is it in "western" or "middle" Europe? Scandinavia "western" or "northern"?
Hitler had repeatedly stated he wanted the Ukraine for Germany but I wasn't sure exactly what the initial territorial objective of Barbarossa was
other than "kick in the front door" and watch the whole rotten structure collapse. Not my area of expertise.
So I did not get 100% ...stupid, stupid test!! Only the misinformed could get it all correct!!
There. I have retained my genius credentials (in my mind...because other minds?? really, do they matter at all !!)
At least they did not mix up Austria and Australia like a History prof I once had. (Happy, beer swilling overweight guys with incomprehensible accents and funny pants, towns with silly names...all the same).

Just toke it. I had browsed this thread first so i was prepared for the battle of the bulge thing/midway/western europe, not that i understod that problems just that there was problems. Non the less i answered to what i think is correct tho double reading some of the questions brought to special interrest per above.
Either they have fix up some stuff as i found no particular faults in the test now. Or my knowledge about WW2 is baaaaad.

I got 50/50, but im a dane and would certainly define Denmark/Norway as part of western europe in a cultural/east vs west europe understanding, while maybe more questionble geographicallly. When answering such a test i would answer it by using the "discovery methode". This isnt a ubah nerdy per say test, more of a what would u have u learned if u had seen enough of discovery channel some 5-10 years ago. In that sentiment i found all questions/answer reasonble.

Kind regards,

Rasmus

Well I'm a bit late for class as usual ...

But 47 out of 50 and one was a fat finger error.

It was the conferences that got me.

Curiously I was only reading about Churchill's long flights to Tehran and Moscow a little while ago.

I have got 29 out of 50, i think this is a normal result, for a person who has not opened books on the history of the Second World War for a long time. [:)]

I still don't get it because I see posts with links and no issues. Did you have one of your links removed? That would not support a blanket statement that anything with a link is removed.

This particular thread looks like a legitimate discussion of a linked WWII topic of interest to the forumites. Not sure why you are railing against spamming here. BBF out.
