Just a light hearted observation:

I hope those P-38s weren't carrier based [:D][;)]
There must have been a lot of P-38 units on LRCAP

No carrier based.
 
My one combat so far involving 40% CAP is not encouraging for Faber. Radar and Allied CAP Bonus seemed to automatically vector more planes in

I have good success with Jap fighters on LRCAP over their base hex. No fatigue problems and good response to strikes against it. Works much better than any CAP percentage (on Escort mission).
