Wow, just wow.  Incredible work.  I look eagerly forward to losing my limey flattops to my first axis opponent!

Great stuff.

Hi Fremen,

on possible problem comes to my mind:

The speed of TFs is currently roughly for each 5 knots/1 hex per phase. But the maximal movement is 6 hexes per phase, never more. Ship doing 30 knots will travel the same distance as quick DD doing 37 knots.

When you decrease the scale to 30 miles per hex, no ship will be able to travel more than 12 hexes. But the ship sailing 30 knots should travel 24 hexes.

Maybe an official Med release may finance the work necessary to improve the land combat somewhat in WITP, like WPO did for ASW.

Or may be a WITP II game Ron.[;)]

They were listening. There is an Alpha Med Map out there to boot (I have it somewhere I think). The limitations of the land combat model is what I believe shelved the project. Maybe this mod of Fremen's will get the same support as TankerAce's WPO and become an official release.

Maybe Matrix will use this as a prod to do some work on the land combat model? With land combat tweaks the engine could be expanded for Europe and the Eastern Front. To do the Battle of the Atlantic, the sub combat model would need work. The core engine could handle it. What players have already been able to do with the game engine for mods is pretty amazing when you think about it.

Maybe at some point you can follow the same path War Plan Orange did. It started out as a mod to.
