Empires in Arms is the computer version of Australian Design Group classic board game. Empires in Arms is a seven player game of grand strategy set during the Napoleonic period of 1805-1815. The unit scale is corps level with full diplomatic options

We always stuck with the VPs assigned by the game as balancing. Everyone just selected their 1st choice....7th and then we resolved in the order listed in the rules with all high choices doing the unmodified roll.  Britain France and Russia were rolled but the rest rarely were since people seemed to vary in what they felt the best of the other 4 were (Go SPAIN!).

We did the same. Rarely did anyone complain.

For my last game, with a different group, we drew numbers (1-7) and that was the order that the player announce which country he wanted to play. I drew a six and got FRANCE as no one ahead of me wanted to play it!!!! Unfortunately, four of the players were new to the game and did not get into it. So, it ended up lasting only two game years; but were those fun for me.
