All-Star Voting: The Giants dominated the NL position players, and only two Dodgers made the team. They were SP Joe Hatten and RP Clyde King.
Despite Brooklyn's position in the standings, the snub stung.

I'm gonna have one more try at the historical 47 Dodgers, with the basic settings on. NO early entry this time, historical rosters used. As GM, I have 100% control over my team's trades.
Note: I made corrections to players' field positions (per Baseball Reference.com), and restarted. This is the template I submitted to Padres fan for inclusion on his site.
In the power rankings, the Dodgers rank 8th. In the Brooklyn lineup, leading off is the newcomer, the black man from the AAA Montreal team.
Here's the team:

RE: The 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers
KG's mid-season observations: the Dodgers can make a legitimate run for the pennant, if we can get past the Giants and Pirates. We don't have a solid homerun threat, but we can score runs. Leadoff hitter Robinson is the key. He is hitting .321/4/34, and has an incredible 41 stolen bases. Our defense is solid, and I'm pleasantly surprised by the 3B platoon of young Jorgensen (.317/3/25) and veteran Lavagetto (.346/5/32).
The pitching is inconsistent, and that's my primary concern. The surprise ace is Joe Hatten. The fourth spot in the rotation is a triumvirate of Fowler, Taylor and Gregg.
We are still looking at trade options. Reiser, Walker, Lavagetto and Stanky are all considered expendable, as their successors are expected to be Snider, Hermanski, Jorgensen and Miksis.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trade news: We held discussions with the Pirates, and we agreed to send P Hank Behrman to Pitt in exchange for P Preacher Roe. In a separate transaction, we traded RP Clyde King to the Pirates in exchange for RF Wally Westlake. Westlake will immediately be incorporated into the lineup, replacing Dixie Walker.
We have just strengthened the batting order, and now have another reliable LHP for spot starting/relief duties.
