Someone was running an AI v AI test and stepped into Japan sometime in 44 and he found out he was fighting Bearcats.

I knew I was going to like AE [:D]

Would be curious how that happened. Arrival date got backwards in the editor I am sure.

You tease! Soon . . . soon . . .

Does the cost of AE include the cost of therapy while we all wait? [:D]

What if Winnie had allowed the RAF to upgrade earlier? Shouldnt we decide when to upgrade, not Churchill? What if we decided that the P38 was a better plane than the P39? Shouldnt we decide to produce it in greater quantities earlier in the war? The trouble with "What Ifs" is that there are so many of them.

What I've always noticed in this forum is that virtually all the "What ifs" people bring up are to aid the Japanese. Glad to see someone pointing out that the Allies had a lot more "what ifs" available as well. I still remember with delight the screams of dismay when it was discovered that PDU worked for the Allies as well! [:D]

hmmmn, true so very true. Not like what if the Allies had virtually double the air OOB they should have,or the 2nd marine division was available from the get go in stock. Or the crazy LB-24 bomber groups raining 4E death down in summer 42'. So yea,by all means bitch at the Jap fanboys about the feakin Tabby.[8|]

Well in AE, the Dutch and Brits dont have to wait to upgrade.

And in AE only 1 regiment of the 2nd Marine is "available". Other pieces are there but assigned to west coast command.

Tophat, I assume that you've never played CHS, with a much more realistic OOB (no masses of LB30, or any allied 4E bombers in 1942). Since AE is the result of a great deal of painstaking OOB research, my guess is that you can expect things to be far different when you play that version...

I am ever amazed at the comments made which are (as you noticed) throwbacks to the days of vanilla.

They are good for the soul........keeps me grounded.....knowing there are still the unlearned, if not disadvantaged,......still playing vanilla.[:D]

Nope, never have and looking forward to AE with as you can tell baited breath. And note people choose mods because they wanted changes to stock. Lets see, summer 2004,Origins,got to meet Mogommi and frankly wished i could have charged back home after getting my copy and visiting with the Matrix group awhile. but the other fellows i was at origins with had other ideas, such is life.

So we are coming up on 5 yrs now, yup, looks like 5 yrs and we still need a "final" patch for stock. I'm not bitching about that in any way shape or form. What does have me wondering, what really, really does have me curious is that if we don't expect AE to be perfect out of the box and we (me&others) have actually waited almost 5 yrs through improvements to stock...............................never mind it will just get peoples panties in a bunch.

But I am kind of sick of the look down the nose at the jap fanboys attitude.

No, and that is probably not the word I was looking for anyway..

As for your last post, you will never be able to count me as part of the crowd looking "down their noses" at the JFB's........I tried playing that side a few times, and it rewquires more real work that I have time....Every man should know his limitations.[8D]
