Two screenshots

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

The screenshots show rail lines but I don't see any roads. Granted that east front roads were poor but some good paved roads did exist. An example is the four-lane highway from Smolensk to Moscow. Are good roads taken into account?

Yes, in form that places with better road have higher chance to have "better" terrain.

Is there any chance of getting a screenshot of an air unit?

Looking at the top menu bar it seems that air units, as in WIR, will have a series of air strike options available (against airfields, industry, interdiction, ground attack,...) - will they also, in addition, support ground combat in their radius? Is this based on the original WIR or will it be a totally new approach?

Wasn't there an East Front boardgame that had a town called The Village (from the original The Prisoner TV show)?

For adding flavor and historical accuracy I would love to see icons/symbols based on WWII German iconolgy.

Like presented on this site: http://orbat.com/site/ww2/drleo/011_ger ... ls_41.html

Make it happen. [:)]

Comments on Screen Shots.

1. No Leader show for 17th Panzer Div, huh?

2. Would be nice to see a picture of unit type (AKA WITP, Campaign Battles) of the unit VS. just a unit counter on the right hand side.

3. Still miss the full Norway Map, always enjoyed the minor war in Norway in WIR.

Leaders for the Germans don't come into play, until Corps level, about the same for the Su

(but, there are Corps level Su HQs and there are corps level units, so a unit, will not get a leader, but a HQ will)

hope that makes sense, when your in the game, it is easy, kind of HARD outside of it, trying to explain it
