Turn 72
My counter attacks failed to put the Germans off balance... Staligrad seems doomed

Turn 75
The Wehrmacht is on the brink of a tremendous victory
The remaining defenders of Stalin's pride on the Wolga have been squeezed in a small pocket
A hastily assembled force attempting a relief operation from the north got bogged down in the rubble
In other words: I'm toast

Turn 78
Eric's mopping up the remaining pockets while keeping the northern flank covered
3-4 turns and it'll be over... I have some reinforcements ready on the east bank but all landing zones are defended... if my units can't land they're a sitting duck for the Luftwaffe

Over and out.. The last pockets were mopped up, so I threw in the towel. Well played by eric who showed no mercy
Part of my defeat can be blamed to that counter attack around Turn 65 which in hindsight was a waste of resources

Wow, last time I looked, turn 57, thought you had it for sure, Silvanski! Not very often you see a real reversal like that in TOAW.
Oh well, thanks for the AAR. :D
To repeat history in a game is to be predictable.
