Add this game to the ones in devlopements :
Grey Dog Software : Bowl Bound Pro Football : http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/sh ... p?t=516431

This one, the Pro Football proposal has never gone ahead. The forums over there (Pro football has not had a post since 2011. The developer asked for suggestions in 2007. I believe its dead.

I've been without an NFL Football game far too long so I purchased Action PC Football

New version releases tomorrow...seems like some possible decent enhancements.

Maybe that is why when I purchased the game I received an e-mail that the game would be sent March 31.

OOTP seems to have in development a NFL football game for Spring/ Summer 2017. If it could only reach the level of its baseball game. Because we sorely need a computer game with some graphics on field run of plays with the sophistication management.

Agreed...the original developer had health issues so glad to see they found a replacement to carry the game forward. Hopefully the original developer has a chance to participate again at some point, but of course his health is far more important.

Here is the statement from Micheal Winter the new programmer. He was asked if he was starting from scratch and going in another direction He wrote"There won't be a reboot. We will continue with to work with the code base that Francis created."

I have been really enjoying Action PC football. My first season as the Chicago Bears was learning what different combinations choices make in plays. I played all forth down plays on offense , maybe once.I punted. The Bears took a beating, but I am slowly learning all the options available on defense and offense. As I said before, many years without a football game this looks like the right amount of depth and enjoyment.

Playing this game, a couple seasons under my belt. The challenge of coaching a pro American football team is very high. Learning what plays and use them. Much more immersed in football then my last football experience(with Madden football) probably the best experience so far. Not had a lot of success but I can get a taste of what managing a pro team is like. The next level will be to enter into drafting, and management. But it will be some time before I do that. Up till now I have not won a game in two seasons. I get close but...
This game has turned out to be my go to game when I'm looking for something to fill my time(when not war gaming). Highly entertaining.

What team are you managing that you haven't won a game in two seasons?

My home town favorite Chicago Bears. They were not too strong last year. But I should say season 1. I purposely coached them poorly. That is, Every fourth down play I ran it out no matter where I was on the field. I was getting my feet wet with offensive play ooptions. Season 2 I am coaching in earnest, with attention to play calling according to the opponents strengths and weaknesses(however imperfectly) scores have been closer. Playing One division leader with no loses Bears had the lead for three quarters until a breakaway play gave them the victory. I also, realized to pace out my games. Playing more then 3 in a session my mind grows tired and I grow impatient making bad calls Lol.
