Possible PBEM house rules for turns 25-41

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Regarding the hasty attack only idea, what kind of CV odds do those of you playing in blizzard typically see? If the odds are more than 2:1 with most deliberate attacks, and the Soviets are attacking with fewer than 3 units most of the time, I think the hasty attack should be viable as a good control option.

Its a shame that you are unable to use the  AP points for this purpose. For example the Soviet Player gets lets say 50 AP points a turn  & with these he does those strange things that Soviet players do. So what about all HQs automatically going into static mode after each blizzard turn & the soviet player  has to use his AP points to wake them (for want of a better word)  now he could pay 15 AP's  for an army or 50 AP's for a front (including all attached armies) & be able to move & fight with those forces atttached to the Activated Army or Front once the blizzard is over all units go back to normal settings

Random weather and only hasty attacks seem to be the way forward at the moment.

Ok, it's not ideal, but it would work for a PBEM game
