Do you accept requests?

I've sort of been in an artistic mood lately so if anyone has any requests I'll be happy to accommodate if I can.

Hi Gary.

I have a couple of ship art requests:
1. BC Amagi Class in 1941 with then upgrades as the war progresses.
2. Same for BC Lexington Class.

I think you have the Japanese G6 and British Hawkin Class design for a hybrid CLV. Right?

I need these for the Mod I am slowly working on. If these have been done by someone else or you have them already I could happily use the Art & Shil.

Here are Tosa, Amagi and Kii. (Actually from my own mod) NOTE: All three ships are derivatives of original WITP art. If I'm not mistaken they are derived from Big B's original Nagato. Individual files to follow.

As far as BC Lexington, I wish I could say there was a point in me creating another version. Big B has created the definitive BC Lexington. This is a retouched version of his Lex that I'm using in my mod (Along with S. Dakota). I changed the tint of the hull a little and maybe moved 4 or 5 pixels around. Other than that these are Big B's and they are as good as it gets.

Yes, Stock and DaBabes include a class named Camano. This was a Design 381 ship, identical to the first picture on the link.

It's getting right picky but there were a number of variations (as shown). Not all that many good photographs but google can find some more. F, FS, and FP boats and an interesting variation called H boats.

I'm not exactly sure how much doing this is worth. I'm a zygote kind of guy but not a lot of people are interested in that level of detail. If you do want to take this on, I can send you scans from Grover's book on US Army Ships and Watercraft.

Design 277 - 114 feet
Design 342 - 148 feet
Design 247 - 140 feet
Design 235 - 104 feet
Design 210 - 158 feet (from Grover)

Rather esoteric, but these small cargo ships were very active in both New Guinea and the Solomons. Along with later operations in the Philippines and, of course, rear area work in the islands of the South Pacific. Mr. Roberts served on one.

Glad to hear you are enjoying yourself! I've attached 3 of the 7 ships to this post in a zip file. Let me know what you think. I did the best I could given the scant photos on the ships. The 247 design is particularly guess work as the only photo I saw was almost a head on shot from bow to stern. Hard to make out what the stern looks like and the length proportions of each section.

Here are 6 of the 7. I got your PM with pics from the Grover Book but couldn't figure out which pic was of the 158ft Design 210? Would you send another PM with only that boat so I can take a look. Please disregard the files above. I redid the first three boats and they are attached to this post. So here are all the boats except the Design 210. Also there is an alternative pic for Design 330-D just for good measure.

Never mind, Don. I figured it out. Here is the last boat Design 210. Please note it's identical to my Design 330-D 170ft except 21 scale feet shorter, therefore I recommend using my "Design 330-D 170ft B" art for the 330-D instead of the first one. Otherwise the 330-D and 210 will look identical.
