New Public Beta Update Available

I have the beta running. Question - when I run the "check for updates" it says there is a newer version of PCOF. If I let it run, will it simply remove my beta and put it back to where I started? I hesitate to 'update' until I know it's truely and update (as in improvement).

If you already have the Beta patch then you shouldn't need to run the update.

21. Fixed a problem with the Winter version of the Panzerschreck team

This problem is NOT fixed, I'm afraid. I've tested it thorougly but the battle doesn't load when it contains winter Schreck teams.

I opened the tutorial in the editor, changed the name, changed the date to 1944, upped the points to 400, added a shreck platoon, saved.

Start battle, schreck teams are there and wearing greatcoats.

Are you using an infantry mod? I see junkn2drive checked, i'll double check as well. Someone else on team also reported that this wasn't fixed.

Hi Rick, I use the full platoon mod, made by Szartur. I've replaced it again with the units from the patch and now it works. I apologize for the false alarm...[:(]

Everyone has been courteous, helpful, and pretty much devoid of any fanboy attitudes that could potentially ruin an otherwise excellent forum.

We prefer a realistic approach, to fixing issues that gamers find, to the traditional fanboy attitude. It works much better for getting things fixed and to make a good game better.

There are just a couple of things we are trying to iron out. We are going to try and get another pulbic Beta this week if we are able to fix this one remaining item.
