I would look to conserve your TB3's for transport missions to partisans or even perhaps paratroop operations at a moment of your choosing. By all means bomb away with IL4, DB trash, etc.

I see, Klydon, thank you [:)] From my experience partisans will be almost totally useless during the Blitzkrieg. They need time to organize. They start attacking German hexes in 1942. At least that's what I saw on my last game. You have to wait and give them time until they are ready that is. So during the first 20 turns I think I should throw everything I have to the most dangerous enemy units: panzers. Obsolete planes included.

I try to stay organized. I put the planes that have to supply the partisans in the "service" air bases: the VVS thing = Recon and Transport (obsolete bombers too and obviously night mission) duties.

The BAK air bases will bomb armored spearheads (at night).

Almost finished the turn. The Northwest. I'm weak! [:(] I sent a regiment to Riga (by sea). Nothing is free in this world. If he wants the city, he has to pay (MPs).

In the Western Front I am starting to concentrate some forces. The 16th Army (the Stavka Army which was near the Lvov pocket) covers part of the landbridge. Thanks the Big Manitou on next turn the Stavka Reserve Armies in this area will be able to move!

I also start to cover sections of the Dnper. Forward, I try to cover the Berezina (as per Bletchley Geek's suggestion). The airborne guys stay even closer to the enemy: RIP.

In the Southwestern Front... I always think I'm way too close to enemy LOL

I would only feel safe behind the Dnper. This is TANK country. Your enemy can easily put you to the sword if you don't pay attention. In fact I see him bagging all these forces on next turn.

I also garrison the cities in my rear. I am very serious about this. I NEVER leave cities undefended.

The Southern Front is the Little Brother [:D] Up north a huge bully is beating the Big Brother. Given that the bully is going to prevail (no rocket science eh), the Little Brother should start retreating. It's the prudent thing to do, methinks.

Moscow and Crimea. The two divisions attached to Moscow District start digging in the city. I will have to bring a third force to cover the N Moscow city hex. In Crimea, units in important, key places.

He does not have enough Panzer divisions in the south to be overly dangerous. You are in excellent shape there.

Hmm, what else?

Leningrad: I have zero units to start preparing defensive positions. On next turn/s [8D]

HQs: I have disbanded 4 or 5 Corps HQs.

Support Units: I have bought 1 RR Brigade + 1 Sapper Regiment for every "important" army: the ones that will fight in the center, Leningrad and Southwest. But some of them are trapped in pockets. I will buy support units for them when they will manage to escape.

Air Force: the depleted air units were sent to National Reserve. All the others stay to FIGHT. On my very first game, I had sent everyone to the reserve. Ridiculous! You need every man and plane to stop the invasion. The supreme effort. I will try to organize it though (fighters in IAD, tactical in SAD and bombers in BAD) on the next turns though. It's chrome but I hate chaos. I want everything to be at the right, coherent place.

In my current game as Soviet my opponent did not reinforce AGS and he is paying a heavy price even with a Lvow pocket.

I have found under 1.5 the Soviet fort situation is very stressfull. The days of blankets of level 3 and 4 forts sprouting up like weeds are very much over. I am also finding that not being able to farm APs from placing units on static mode is putting a crimp in my organization abilities. I do not like chaos either!

Being as I am a WitP (AE since 2009) player that helps! Organising your forces in WitE is a kid's game if you compare it with the massive OOB on that game [8D]

Well, there's going to be a re-start after all. I was going to send the finished turn to Marquo but then I noticed there was a new email from him:

"It appears that we have to restart anyway because of a fatal Axis production flaw which was just found and fixed; see, "Bugs in production system sucks up ARM" in the technical support section. I can apply the patch before my move 2 which will correct the mistaken cost for 45 mm ATs which deplete the Axis armament pool, but it then I will then have too many at start armament point and an advantage. I am willing to restart for the sake of game balance; this is also what Helpless suggests. Please let me know"

It's I think the wise thing to do, from what you experts have said. I've told him that by all means he must NOT allow me to open corridors in his 3 Army Group Areas. Doing that in one is perfectly possible.

So...
