the Oscars can´t be seen much as a threat, they just lack fire power to be anywhere useful, even early days they suck... we had some more fighters damaged but easily achieve an excellent kill rate as many of the Oscars are sent home damaged and crash... still, it was a defeat for us today and our fighters are ordered to retreat... what I still don´t understand is our enemy´s tactic... one day with big sweeps and a hundred bombers attacking Singapore´s airfields would have ended our defense in... one day... the way the IJ attacked Singapore, it has cost them over a hundred Zeroes and dozens of Oscars... the AVG and the Buffalo squadrons have been flown out and will regroup and build up for the next stand somewhere else... fighter replacements are, ehm, non existent... [:(]

looking at the aircraft losses, the AVG must have achieved a 4:1 overall over Singapore... not bad... we aren´t afraid of the IJAAF fighters as long as the Tojo isn´t available... as soon as this happens, we are more or less helpless until mid 43...
