EXE File "AEdataUpdateS1.exe" (after renaming from ZIP) installs the files into the root folder of AE, in my case
"J:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition".

It should install the files into the sub folder SCEN, in my case
"J:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\SCEN".

People not aware of this will not enjoy the changes, and may not even notice.

To correct:
Make the exe file either install the files directly into the right folder (SCEN),
or let it install the files into a temp folder and move the files manually to the SCEN folder overwriting the original files.
In any case heed Andy's advice to back up the SCEN folder before installing the changes.

To check: if you load the game and a saved game a message should pop up asking
"Add data base changes to this official campaign (#1)? YES/NO"
Only if answered with YES the data base changes are applied.

When made the installers for Andy, I forgot to set the directory on the export so everything dropped in to the main directory.
I tested the process on my installer copy which DID have the directory setting, which is why I didn't notice it missing when creating the other 18 installers.
If Andy needs any data updates made, I'll rebuild them with the directory setting.

it isn't working in my pc

i have renamed scenario 1 zip to scen1.exe changing extension, but when i run it dos prompt appears and disappears in one istant, then i can't find any new things in root witp-ae directory

i have tried to run it directly by dos prompt of my windows xp, but it reports this error:

C:\giochi\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\SCEN>scen1.exe
Program too big to fit in memory

I advice you to report mentioned error in directory destination into open post, many people may not read all posts and so not note changements because mistake in installation

It worked fine for me. The trick is to change the name and file type of the download file during the download, not after. For example, to "scenario1.exe", and also change file type to "all files" (*.*) (otherwise it winds up in the directory as "scenario1.exe.zip")

There's probably a way to change the file type after the download, but I can't figure that out, and the method above works just as well.

Do the Scenario updates affect games in progress in any way? Or do they only affect newly started games?

Which are the "historical" AI scripts for updated scen 1? Are they Aei001 01-06 or some new have been added too?

Anyway to get a comprehensive update for the scenarios in one package?
Plus, will these be incorporated in the next OFFICIAL game update?

Awesome work Andy, thanks a lot.[&o]

Andy,

This is just to give you the info. I´m NOT using the unofficial patch but the official stock Scenario 1. I´ve ran into two things I´m wondering about:

The 40mm M1 Bofors gun device ID 1132 is listed as not possible to airlift. Photos in this thread indicate it should be:

tm.asp?m=3208271

Also
The Bren AAMG (1053) seems to be shared by the Chinese and Australian troops. Is this WAD?

You should use the AndyMac beta scenario patch to fix this. There are 4 or 5 40mm Bofors devices and in Babes, all of them are 7 to 9 load cost, except the Chinese 40mm Bofors which is 11 because the developers don’t want some gamey air transportable Chinese.

JWE gave the Babes development files to Andy and all this should be in his “unofficial” data patches. Is what it is. You don't want to use it, fine. Just don't complain about something that has been fixed.

In the full campaign scenarios, I don't see the upgrade for the P61C.
Arrival date 9/45.
