Turn 21 - 1st April 1915 through to - Turn 25 - 27th May 1915

Game over! The French concede....

Turn 21 - In order to try and save Paris at all costs, the British pour shot and shell into the German army south of Paris. They evict the German, but the line is all over the place.

The German navy launch further convoy attacks in the Channel.

Turn 22 - The British sub in the Baltic chances his arm once too often and is sunk.

The Germans are obviously building for an offensive and there is no action in France or Russia.

Turn 23 - Sure enough, the offensive hits and the Allies are broken in a number of places...its the beginning of the end.

Turn 24 - Paris falls.

Turn 25 - The Allies have no choice but to attack to get Paris back and at the same time attack the entrenched positions of the AH in Russia. All attacks end in defeat...game over.

Well played Orm that was a brilliant performance - no mistakes from where I was sitting. You had me on the back foot almost from the start. [&o]

Thank you. I feel I had some luck in winning the sea war and that, I think, helped me a lot in the French campaign. I felt I just a couple of more turns on the offence before the Italians would arrive and create trouble.

Here is a picture of the west front at the end of turn 20.

And here is a picture of end of turn 23.

What I do not see is the French and British artillery that pulverize one infantry. But my reserves are strong enough to push the offence and capture Paris.

Orm, would you have been able to resist if Warspite had attacked Germany with Russia? It looks like you were really focusing on the west.

I am not sure.

Originally I planned for my main attack to be versus Russia. But when the Russian forces went on defense early and I had more success than I expected on the west front I shifted my focus. I slowly withdrew German units from the east front to the west. After Serbia was knocked out of the war I begun to send AH units to the East front. But since Russia did not launch an assault I decided to stay with 5 or 6 Infantry units close to the Italian border as a strategic reserve.

Unfortunately I messed up my screenshots on the East front. This is the only survivor. It shows end of turn 20. Other than the shown units I had 4 more German Garrisons surrounding Koningsberg. And also the 5 or 6 AH Infantry resting on the Italian border or in central AH.
