Interactive DAR

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

I should also say that I do the DAR as I have time. When we are working on scenarios or other issues the DAR takes second place.

I try to get it out as quickly as I can for you guys.

Good Hunting.

Sometimes, like now, we find things that are needing tweaked. When that happens I don't do the resolution until the code has been corrected. I should get the current turn out this evening.

Suffice to say we are getting inputs from some fresh eyes of a couple of new but very veteran play testers. We have made a number of UI adjustments and knocked off a few bugs too boot. One adjustment was having to deal with folks with extremely large hi-res monitors (yes James I do mean you [:D]). Some of the fonts used where on the small side on the standard 1024x768 end of the spectrum and apparently became unreadable when viewed from outer space on a 2550x1900 and some change 28in widescreen. We have moved text for 95% of things to a min 10 point font. It seems to help. We have also been tweaking AI, making a few UI changes for better layout and more concise information, and isolated and killed a few winning bugs like Uber-Trucks.

So as Steve said, we would like to be doing more on the forums, but we figure having a better and finished game comes first right now. And there is all the rush to get materials and a good solid beta build for next weeks Historicon too. [8D]
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

Turn 8 is being posted to the DAR.

Again, thanks for everyone's patience.

We are trying to do several things at once and sometimes that doesn't work as well as we'd like. I always figure that you guys want me to work on whatever gets the game in your hands the quickest. [&o]

So, that's how I prioritize my work.

Good Hunting.
