While I was still happy about the advance, all of my efforts to encircle his troops failed. Lictuel ably retreated any time there was a chance of pocketing his units at the cost of some territory, but saving the bulk of his army. In retrospect one mistake I may have made was attacking across the entire front instead of concentrating on either Leningrad or Moscow. I hoped that at some point he would stop retreating and try to hold onto territory...we'll see if that happens.

I haven't updated this in quite a while. To much to do with university projects, the game has reached turn 86 and we decided to restart the game since it was looking very hopeless for the axis. Soviets were east of the land bridge, on the dnepr and a breakout from the crimea. So we now start a new game with fixed weather, since we decided that the weather messed with the Germans to much in 41 and esp. in the spring of 42.

I will create a new thread for the next try though and hopefully will be able to keep the aar closer to the state of the actual game.

Unless your one of a handful of very good GHC players the game is hopeless out of balance in the SHC favor.

Historical battle lines at the end of October 1941, means a easy win for SHC in 1944 in most cases.

Why I have a waiting list of undefeated SHC players wanting to play.
