RE: It is a trap. MrKane(J) vs GreyJoy(A) (not for GreyJoy eyes)
That because I had some bad experience with players doping game after a few weeks. So I have got 4 games running with idea that a least 2 players will drop game after a few weeks. I seems now I have outsmarted myself.[:D]

Classic example of CV's in the DEI area ... remember this for later in the war ... don't get caught like he did ...
Great Job!

After trying to teach John 3rd about AE mechanics by playing G'canal scenario years ago, I learned to have a good SC TF with my Allied CVs. I lost two with a third CV heavily damaged as a series of SC TF got to my CVs. This is another example of why I want Force Z to survive. At least the two big guys.
That is a FUN memory!

Good Lord, man! The poor lad has not even recovered from the Coral Sea fiasco!
You mentioned you had trouble with players who "drop game after a few weeks". Maybe they just committed suicide after they ran out of ships. [:D]

I am thinking MrKane is soooo dominate that his opponents are resorting to Performance Enhancing Drugs! Probably Adderall ... I am thinking that those that are playing WitP AE reguarlly should volunteer for drug testing ... [8D]

He sure had a lot of merchant and support ships at Perth! You say this was long-planned. How did you know they would be there? Was this a regular convoy he runs that you discovered and waited until it came back?

RE: It is a trap. MrKane(J) vs GreyJoy(A) (not for GreyJoy eyes)
I am keeping 1-2 subs patrol with Glens on board around every important Allied port. Perth, Sydney, Auckland,Wellington, Perl Harbor, Nouema, Tahiti etc .... Up to now only Perth did not have active navy search planes, now it has
I sent DDs and AOs to wait nearby at begining of Augast. So they waited there over 3 weeks before strike.

Major league gaming (MLG) is ready to expand its testing regime. The gaming players union (GPU) however, are resisting viewing such everyday essentials as coffee and Mountain Dew as non-performance enhancing.

Problems in Aussie Rules as well, too much emphasis on the big dollars in winning!
I suppose its the equivalent of players using gamey tactics to win WITPAE.

You and Greyjoy appear to have the sync-bug this turn. His posts on the action are completely different from yours. You may want to let him know, or send him the Combat Report.
RE: It is a trap. MrKane(J) vs GreyJoy(A) (not for GreyJoy eyes)
Thanks for info. It is possible, we had game update to the new beta patch during that turn.

Situation Report November 9, 1942
Since Battle of Java Sea and two engagements at Perth, GrayJoy is most of time hiding and looking for opportunity to hit me in the back when I am looking at the sky. Without whole pacific fleet he cannot do a lot more.
Situation did not change a lot. I have taken Warazup, Myitkyina in Burma, Derby and Broome in north Australia.
I do not see his planes either. He did use his air units 3 times in last 2 game months, each time just to attack my Helens when I was to overconfident with using them.
Generally I am preparing my units for next operation. Code name "Phoenix". It will start in January 1943.
North Pacific
Building forts.
Central Pacific
Building forts on Nauru Island, Eniwetok, Saipan, Guam, Tinian, Wake Island and Iwo-jima.
South Pacific
Just subs actions. No movements at all on his side. It seams to me he is moving supplies & fuel by off-map path.
I am building forts on Horn Island.
Philippines, Eastern DEI, Sumatra--Java, Malaya
Just building Forts & AFs.
Small fleet is preparing to take Hedland. I am thinking to setup there base for subs to use it against Perth.
Burma
I am moving fast my units back to Katha from Myitkyna. GrayJoy just has started offensive from Kalemyo. Two his columns, reinforced division each, are moving to crass road between Katha and Shwebo. 6th Guard Divison is already on defensive position with two artillery regimens and some marines. Guard & 1st Tank Division are already on his left flank ready to close his exit.
2nd Tank Division is waiting an plains for 2nd column. Imperial Guard Division is pursuing broken Burma Corps into mountains.
I have just found out 140 fighters and 100 transports in Dacca. 280 Ki-44-IIa & 300 Ki-48-IIa will be ready to strike in one or two days (resting).
China
Still planing how to break through his next line. Bombing everything in range with 300 FB & LB.

Situation Report November 17, 1942
North Pacific
Nothing to report.
Central Pacific
Intelligence reports are confirming ~100 planes on Tabituea and 4 CL in ports plus some freighters, supply run ?.
First strike of 204 Kukutai with 40 AM62 cost me 8 Zeros for 12 Wildcats and 3 P-40. Now Imperial Navy is entering scene. Two SCTF escorted by 40 Zeros from Escort CVs plus 80 Zeros(204 Kukutai and Hosho air group) from Nauru Island will bombard Tabituea at November 19.
South Pacific
Nothing to report.
Philippines, Eastern DEI, Sumatra--Java, Malaya
Port Hedland is taken by II Battalion of 124 Regiment.
Burma
Bad weather ground my all planes for 2 days in row.
Allied forces are stopped. He just noticed my flanking maneuver and we have running right now who first will take hex north of his left column.
Hellens soon will start bombing Kalemyo to reduce amount supplies reaching his advancing units. Imperial Guard division beat one more Burma Corps and now is heading back.
Burma Corps is left to die in mountains blocked by two Thai Divisions.

Now is Dec 29, 1942 and Musashi(s:78,f:81,e:32) is still repairing systems dmg on small atoll with 2 AR helping.
Both CA are reef now and Yamato still action ready. I can assume that Musashi will be battle ready for 1944 if not sunk on way back to Japan. I was assuming that two super BB will perform better against single BB with really poor quality crew

RE: It is a trap. MrKane(J) vs GreyJoy(A) (not for GreyJoy eyes)
Situation Report December 29, 1942
North Pacific
Attu Island belong to Empire.
Adak & Atka Isalands are in hands of my opponent. I have noticed he is building bases there.
North coast of Hokkaido is fortified now (fort lvl 6) and garrisoned.
South Pacific & Central Pacific
GrayJoy is still building up Tabituea, it seems to me it will be his main base in area in 1943.
Luck of any aggressive movements against Suva.
Philippines, Eastern DEI, Sumatra--Java, Malaya OZ
North Australia in my hands except Darwin. Just to block building allied bases there.
Burma ( main action area ).
Lexington class CV got 1 torpedo few days back form my Sub. Allied carries are still somewhere on Indian waters.
My air forces are resting. Still lack real activity from allied air force.
Allied offensive against Shwebo - Katha Rail road has been stopped with 2 small allied units destroyed in process. Just Arty firefight.
He never actually order any attack. His AV look really low(AV:370) when I look at his units list, so I can assume that my two months bombing supplies line got some result. (10-20 supply hits daily by 250kg).
End of year summarize.
Empire Air losses: 3761 (A2A:1233, Flak:696, Ground:163, Ops:1669 - a lot of ops, I need work on this issue)
Allied Air losses: 3602(A2A:1660, Flak:95, Ground:501, Ops:1302 - he is doing much better)
Empire ships sunk:
1 x BB (Yamashiro got one torpedo from 2 very old British TB an sunk during Malaya campaign),
2 x CVE(Taiyo, Hosho got by Allied CVs task force during Java landing),
2 x CA(Aoba & Kinugasa sunk during Tabiteuea action),
6 x CL(Jintsu, Nagara, Tama, Kitakami, Oi, Yubari),
3 x DD (Oyashio, Isokaze, Yudachi),
2 x SS (I-154, I-59),
8 x SSX,,
4 x DM,
~150 x AK,AKL,TK,AO,AP,AS,AKE,AG etc (wow !!!),
25 x Patrols ships
Allied ships sunk:
3 x CV (Wasp, Hornet, Yorktown),
3 x BB (Wes Virginia, Tennessee, South Dakota),
5x CA (Chester, Louisville, Northampton, Indianapolis, Portland),
12 x CL (Durban, De Ruyter, Java, Achilles, Concord, Marblehead, Perth, Boise, Helena, Honolulu, Nashville, Phoenix),

13 x SS,
2 x DM, DMS
4 x AS,
2 x AD,
1 x AVD,
7 x AVP,
1 x AR,
5 x ARD,
7 x AG & AGP,
5 x AO,
1 x AKE
15 x TK,
~ 100 x other (xAP, xAK, xAKL, etc ...)
Empire VP: 29132
Allied VP : 14591
I just have hopes it is not result below average.
