I've seen a few Baltic scenarios lately and realized we didn't have installation files for anything in Estonia. Boredom led me to fire up Google Earth tonight and this is the end product. I tried to get everything close to where I could see on the imagery. Gas tanks and ammo pads at the civil airfields are notional of course but included in case scenario designers wish to use them as auxiliary or diversionary fields.

Included:
Amari
Kardla
Kuressaare
Tallinn
Tartu
EW Radar sites at Kellavere, Muhu, and Oteppa

Any errors please let me know. Hope this helps at least one person...

I looked into Estonian EW a few weeks ago, this article has several types and general locations, hope this helps
from http://www.janes.com/article/48391/esto ... -programme
...The country inherited a single P-37 'Bar Lock' military air surveillance radar at Tallinn Airport on independence from the Soviet Union, but no other form of military radar capability. Improving its airspace-monitoring capabilities has been a key goal of the nation since its independence, which it has now fully achieved.

Although Estonia has for a few years had an electronic surveillance system deployed close to its eastern border monitoring Russian activities, the GM400 at Tõikamäe provides its first radar-based air surveillance capability in the region.

Together with a Lockheed Martin AN/TPS-77 radar installed at Kellavere, and an ASR8 radar at Amari Air Base, the new GM400 radars provide complete military air surveillance coverage of Estonian airspace.

With an operational range of at least 470 km, the two GM403 radars each provide coverage of all of Estonia, with the radar installed at Tõikamäe also covering all of Latvia, most of Lithuania, and parts of northern Belarus and western Russia.

Meanwhile, the GM403 radar at Muhu provides coverage over the majority of the Baltic Sea and the entirety of the Gulf of Finland. The country also possesses two Saab Giraffe-AMB C-band air surveillance/targeting radars based with the Estonian Defence Forces' air defence unit at Tapa in northeast Estonia...

Thanks for the link and it does clear up one thing but opens two others. My research last said the P-37's at Tallinn, of which there were two inherited, have been decommissioned and placed in museums. Additionally, the Kellavere was an FPS-117 with a few others nothing a TPS-77 in a semi-permanent installation like noted in your link. Missed the ASR8 at Amari though. Trying to find it on imagery to pinpoint the location.

EDIT: Found the signature of the ASR-8 at Amari... how in the world did I miss that last night?? Thanks!!

Attached is a scenario which is basically blank except for my attempt to create Spratly islands reclaimed by china. I tried saving these and then importing. But it doesn't seem to work, maybe because they are located over water. I created them as I described on a previous post by making them in land and them moving them to their locations.

These are very novice guesses of what I imagine these will could look like in a few years if they become militarized. I wouldn't mind and in fact would like if others would comment on how I could improve these such as adding islands or adjusting the number/types of facilities at these islands. These are for anyone to use/share/edit as they please and if there are changes could you post back to me? I have some SSM, SAM, AAA, and radars. Many of the radars are generic. Would be happy to have others suggest any changes to these as well.

Hope this can be of help to someone to make a south china sea scenario. I will try to make one as well but no promises if/when it's completed.

Do you mind if anyone else takes this as a base and expands on it?

Here are the current Mexican Airbases. They are single-unit airfields currently. However, I am working on mapping them. Let me know if you can't download them.

Cold War Continued

Post by butch4343 »

Hi Folks

I am posting here for the first time, I am intrested intensley in the cold war period, I got wondering about what would the 1990s/2000s look like if it had continued. I have created a few groups of units in case anyone is intrested in using them.

I have started with the airfields of NATO in europe. I intend to do every country as per the 1989 NATO Orbat.

I have made one error though I have saved them all in one inst file , so unfortunately if you want 1 airfield you have to load them all [&:]

I have done these in the main as indvidual units and not the pre-made airfields, I have tried as best I can to make them accurate, I have included runways, runway grade taxiways , access points, HAS shelters, tarmac areas, hangars, ammo bunkers and fuel tanks, the essentials of any hardened Airfield.

There are a couple of the airfields Pezing for example, it was a transport airfield but with a HAS complex for REFORGER squadrons, on that I cheated a little and used a pre made airfield and added the HAS Complex.

Enjoy and if anyone should have similar files , then give me a shout and we can either avoid duplication or work together to cover the full ORBAT

Included are:

Belgian AF airfields
Canadian CFB airfields
An Updated DDR fixed SAM Defences, replacing the SA2/3 sites with SA10 / SA12 systems
Danish AF Airfields
FRG Luftwaffe Airfields (Bundesmarine Airfields to come)
NATO AEW Airfield
RAF Germany Airfields
USAFE (European Central Front Airfields) ONLY PARTIALY DONE

I will update this as I go, but it takes a while lol

Another wee update folks

I have completed the vast majority of NATO airfields and radars, I am missing some RAF stations , Spanish AFB and Dutch Airfields and Radars.

As for Neutrals, I am missing Finland and Yugoslav fixed radar sites.

The Warsaw Pact is a bit less complete I only have soviet GDR airfields in at present.

Well over 95% of these airfields are proper airfields NOT single airfields. I also have the overlay tiles for many if this is any help

Feedback welcome.

Hello all

Here are the main French Guyana installations. This encompassses the French/European Space Port, the Guyana Space Center of Kourou, and all its components (adminsitrative, tracking, control, launch, protection, trials production and storage facilities) as well as the Félix Eboué Airport which host the Military Airbase Cayenne-Rochambeau BA 367 and the surveillance radars (old and new, you can delete one or another as you see fit to match your scenario timeline). I couldn't include the space tracking and monitoring radars since they aren't in the database, but they are displayed as TV mast buidlings/space tracking antennas. I didn't include the Mistral local air defenses neither.

Improved inst file for Japan SAMs, listed all missile sites according to Japan MoD, OOB were taken from Wiki and cross checked with MOD material. Direction of radar was not adjusted.

The EW radar inst file (Japan EW 2013)was good except it didn't include the 14th MD battery of US 94th MD command, its an extra TPX-2 radar at the site of 35th AC&W SQ JASDF. So i did not make a new one.

Did anyone ever settle on a file-name standard for these? I've got the PVO 1st Air Army (ie, The Moscow SAM Rings) done for 1968 and 1975, before I upload I wanted to make sure there's no specific naming convention.

I'm working through the whole PVO based on this site: http://www.ww2.dk/new/newindex.htm
It's going to take a while....
