Here's an attack on the one remaining scud site by B-52's and Tornado's and I didn't loose anybody but I didn't get all the scuds
either. I'm attacking at minimize losses.......maybe I should boost that to ignore losses because it's so important. If I do an ignore
losses attack w/ the B-52's they will probably drop in readiness so far that I won't be able to use them the rest of the turn. But it's
important to get rid of the scuds.

Here's the results of the second of two scud attacks on Diego Garcia and the B-52's. There's only 4 Buff's left now. D'oh. This is why
it's so important to get rid of ALL the scuds.

EDIT: I'm thinking I should fix the scenario somehow so that the scuds aren't within range of Diego Garcia by putting a distance on the
off-map area somehow. That would make it a more realistic scenario. For now, if I ever play this thing again, I'll know to gang up on
the scuds to make durn sure that I've gotten all of them before turn 1 ends.

That's a good idear, and recommend adding a supply point to each of the airfields also, as supply doesn't trace well over distant hexes.

Once you do that, Elmer might start Scudding the southern airfields. If he does that we might want to check their distances. [;)]

Here's the supply situation on the west side: analysis: adequate for sustained combat.

I thought one more round of arty pounding and air striking might be prudent so I went through the OOB setting all the arty to
bombard enemy arty and gave the aircraft their missions, also arty. The A-10's........I tried to concentrate them on enemy tanks
or armour of some kind. The B-52's ( those that could fly ) went after the scud sites and we cleaned out all the scuds. And 70%
of the turn is left. Now to start the ground attacks.

Here's some of my helicopter losses now:

I got enough RBC's to blast a hole in the Iraqi lines. I'm hoping to be able to thrust a division through there.

Okie dokie I've moved all the units and assigned missions to the aircraft.....I think I'm ready for combat round two, and this time the land
units attack too.

Here's the missions and conditions of the aircraft. A couple are resting but most of them are still ready to go. I've got a lot of choppers
on combat support as are all the bombers; the fighters I've put on interdiction. And the A-10's are dedicated to the Iraqi armour so I've
given them all a dedicated target.

OK.......I hit the end turn button to start the attacks, all the attacks resolved and the turn ended abruptly. D'oh. No second round again.
Anyway, here's the moves for both sides for turn 3:

Here's a close up of the East end of the front lines. I'm pushing north and I've infiltrated his lines, isolated some of his units and I'm
making progress. Not nearly fast enough though. I'm hoping for a draw on this game.

Here's a close up of the west end of the front lines. I'm in danger of getting outflanked and I'm reduced to using the Airborne divisions as
infantry to block the path of the enemy.

Here's a close up of the middle. I'm making a bulge and hope to be able to surround and destroy the large group on the west side of
this image. It might take a couple of turns but I think I can manage it.

I had a little time so I ran thru it, only 10 turns so it doesn't take long. The first turn takes a while because there are so many air units to contend with. After that it is RBC Heaven. [:)]

Thanks for bringing this one to the light of day Mr. Fulkerson, and Thanks to Wild Bill Wilder for the original design. [&o]

Yeah, I'm taking my time and doing an AAR at the same time so it's taking me several days but yeah, you can crank out the turns
and get this game done lickety split.

I thought you might like it. I like it. It's not as good as D-Day to the Elbe but it's still fun.

What is the file supposed to represent? The modified scenario? So do I change the extension to ".sce" after I download it?

I only got two combat rounds in turn 4 as the turn ended abruptly after the second round of combat and the Iraqis moved the Republican
Guard down to take up combat positions and the moving isn't getting quite so many RBC's any more. Now I'm having to fight for each
hex. I'm not real sure what to do now. Just tighten the noose I guess. Finish isolating that group on the left and destroy it.

Lots of action and movement and RBC's and the front is advancing quickly. But it's turn 5 already......I feel like I'm behind schedule for
some reason.

If I ever play this scenario again I gotta remember to send some recon assets north to support the airborne units after they have
successfully developed the road junction headed to Baghdad. As it is they are placeholders in the front line. That negates the
advantages they possess, that being air mobility. I've definately brought too few units to this contest. Or maybe the units that I am
using aren't being used appropriately. That's probably it. I still think I have too few units.
