Well, I'm getting screwed now during the Summer sale. I had bought EU:IV but I cannot see the letters in those little boxes and I tried everything. So, I had to return it on their new return policy. Come to find out though I have to wait "DAYS" for my refund which will only be Steam credits anyways and I can't buy anything else on the Steam sale because that is my allotment of funds for computer stuff this month.

I definitely know how Rhonda feels in this category. [>:] So, I probably won't get my refund until "after" the good sales are all gone or after the sale altogether. Just something else to be angry about Steam.
I got a Paypal refund in 3 hours last night. Pike and Shot wouldn't run on my PC (bad download?).

Well I got myself a handful here, not sure how much I spend around 45 USD here and what I got is...

RUSE + Rising Sun Pack
Civilization IV + Beyond the Sword Expansion
Superpower 2
Pandora-First Contact
Making History-The Calm and the Storm Gold

Least save me around fifty bucks or more.

Reminder that CMNAO is on for £30, great bargain.

Picked up Portal, Portal II, LOTR: War in the North and Ultimate General Gettysburg today. I'm particularly looking forward to UG: Gettysburg, seems very interesting.

Cheers

UG:G is nice. I've been tempted on Portal II many times, but don't like to think through puzzle solutions. Just me.

I would recommend The Few for $2. A ridiculously low price for a Battle of Britain game Matrix would charge $30 for.

Pike and Shot is on my want list but it is only 25% off, holding out for 50% or better.

I had the itch to spend some money today but just couldn't find anything, then I stumbled upon a real gem. Creeper World 3 It's 90% off at just $1.50, with a 98% user rating on Steam.

I've only played the first few levels, but if you like tower defense, puzzles, logistics, or unlimited replayability, you might want to check this out.

They finally came up with policy that giving the customers refund back, if you do it before the deadline. Couple years ago I got EU3 and wouldn't run at all and had to buy another from gamersgate and work fine.

Thanks, I already have the box version of Civilization IV and the expansion, just didn't like the idea have that in CD/DVD drive. Later on keep doing that will wear out the drive.

Got my money back today. Only took 3 days to refund a game I didn't have 18 minutes before I asked for a refund.

All is well though I didn't really miss anything in the summer sale.

Now I just can't decide on what to buy. Anyone play "This War of Mine" or "Wasteland II"? I really want a good card game or family game but I have most all of them that are any good already. Magic 2015 I won't touch because they took so much out just to add your own deck builder. I'm looking forward maybe to Magic 2016 since I hear they are adding back in 2 headed multiplayer giant.

I got all the good wargames I want except SPWAW II. [:D] If you were to suggest any wargames please keep them tactical squad or platoon level. Plus I have the good ones already. Matrix/Sliterine group needs to make that Koios Western Front game they been promising us.[:'(]

For nostalgia sake (and the fact they are great games) I picked up the Microsoft RTS Bundle today. AOE II HD, AOE III Complete, Age of Mythology and Rise of Nations.

I had all 4 on disc at one time and lost many hours to them (and now the discs are long gone too).

I thought it was a good buy at £15.

Cheers,

Both are quite good. This War of Mine is the best anti war game made. Very poignant and sad in places.
Wasteland 2 is a great old school RPG. And they are working on a GOTY upgrade that will be a free content update.
They are redoing all of the art and models in the game in Unity 5. Adding some voice works, adding skills and perks, redoing writing and dialogue, balancing and adding content.

Both are awesome purchases.
But This War of Mine is quite an experience. It is based loosely on the Balkans war in the early 90s and has some gut wrenching moments.

You can get the Theatre of War collection for around $10.

They're flawed but fun wargames. Difficulty level: Russian.

Picked up a couple of good ones yesterday that you guys might like.

Invisible, Inc. - This is really cool if you like turn-based tactical squad level sort of games. Has a fairly short campaign but it's randomly generated each time. You have a squad of futuristic spies and have to James Bond your way through each level, picking up new items and skills on the way. Really fun and hard, your guys go down in one hit if caught in the open.

Infinifactory - The sequel to SpaceChem, it's in early access but it's in really good shape. Very much like SpaceChem but in 3D. You get a supply of blocks and have to use conveyor belts and various tools to combine them in specific ways and deliver to the output spot(s). Starts off simple and rapidly gets tricky. You then compare your efficiency to everyone else who has played that level. Involves basic programming concepts after a certain point. Nerdy fun!
