2.0.11.4 Open Beta Released!!!

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Well with any luck the weird bugs will go away. If not we keep working them. We should be dropping 11.5 late next week after Rob get back. Would have been sooner but we are fixing some busted AI pathing issues that messed with other pathing issues. Takes time to untangle and test. [X(]

Harry, that issue is getting addressed with map adjustments in the 2.0.11 update. Right now the AI and player can't span (from one side) a major river. This is being addressed for engineering in Southern Storm.

Also we addressed this AI shortfall in this scenario in an adjustment to this map in the upcoming patch.

Small one:
If autosave=off

and you turn autosave on, you must close FPRS and restart before this option is active, most settings works when they are changed.

Harry, for some reason the setting in the main menu when changed was not getting picked up. Setting from in game the on/off autosave works fine. I just fixed the main menu not saving its state and that will be in the 11.5 Beta patch. Thanks for the report.

Latest patch notes say a memory leak was corrected - I still get massive lag when I've had the game running for too long (Usually half an hour!). Not sure if a .sav would help since it happens on every scenario.

Hi,

Was this map fix included in 11.5?

If not, maybe you could post the revised map on the OTS website under Custom maps or suchlike.

BTW/ Thanks for the update!

Rob.
So we're at war with the Russkies eh?? I suppose we really ought to invade or something. (Lonnnng pause while studying the map)

Not in 11.5. It will be in the release version next month with the tweaked scenarios. I can check in Monday's Dev call if we can post the revised map and FP9 file.
