Looking solid! (see for yourself)

I do recommend changing the urban polygons such that either the hex either is fully urban or not urban at all, and not use small fragments of urban area. Even small fragments will lead to hexes being tagged as urban, and my tool renders them as urban.
Built up terrain is so different from other terrain in how it affects combat / tactics, that you want the map as clear as possible about what is built up and what isn't.
Mad Russian (Steve) did a great job coming up with crisp and clear maps in Red Storm (we might have changed the looks a bit, but we sure stuck to his formula).
The only thing I do break into fragments and combine with (fields) hexes is forest, just to better resemble the forest outline.

There is a minor issue with obstacle id's at the top of the maps.

OK, yes Houston we have a problem. Apparently the hexes on either side of the canal scanned in as water hexes (Obstacle "9")

My guess you've attached the wrong style (major_rivers) to your minor_rivers layer. Hex side rivers should use different colors than the full hex rivers (aka "Lake" / elevation 0 in FCRS).

OK thank you very much, I really appreciate it! I think I can make those changes by the end of the weekend. I got a little zealous with the urban hexes.

OK so I adjusted the urban hexes and cleaned up the map in places where the villages/urban hexes were removed. So now I'm trying he FP9 map in the game before I send it to William [&o] [&o] for another go at a regular game map.

Got the revised map back from William, but we still have to add place names and that. Here is the 11. PZGD/33. Panzer Brigade's defense of Wittingen. Even though the initial units are in defensive position the battle will be a meeting engagement as reinforcements are thrown it...

This looks great, already I can see one well-designed scenario with beautiful map. How do you make the silhouettes by the way?

Exsonoc01,

No they were a Mod that is posted to the Mods. I really don't remember maybe Stimpak???

So the DDR scenario was dropped as when I really looked that the NVA's barracks positions, there is just no way a DDR Division would be in this area unless the 9. Panzer came from near Potsdam and that would likely be deployed against West Berlin. So instead we had the 400th MRR of the 2nd Guards Tank Army's 207th MRD hitting the Inter-German Frontier near Wittingen...

Wo sind die Panzers? I place units in great IPs and the charge the enemy. I set up the Bundeswehr Panzers to charge the enemy in a meeting engagement and they are AWOL! [:D] [8|]

So I just got an updated map from William and think this scenario may be ready to release in the next day or two. So this one is built from scratch from the QGIS Map to the Scenario! Couldn't have done any of this without William's help!
