Hmm, using the Italian Navy with both the French and British navy around sounds dangerous. Might try to see if I can inflict enough damage to the unit on Malta by air alone.
My Paras are going for another venture, but suppose I might switch one of them back if I remove the unit on Malta. Will see.

You will not be able to take Malta if you don't blockade the port because every damage to the AAR unit will be repaired next turn. OF COURSE the operation is dangerous. [:D] But that's why I wrote you should have upgraded units. Also, having the air cover will help not only the bombing, but also help your ships against the RN. Finally, THEY will not have ports to hide and repair in the vicinity. All in all, it's a matter of preparation and timing. [:)]

Taking all of France and its African colonies sure takes more time, but maybe the additional MPPs will make up for it a bit in the future.

I sure would operate additional air units (tac bombers and fighters) to Egypt if you're really determined to take it. It actually seems you're doing rather good there atm considering it's only the Italians for now and Rommel has not yet arrived.

We mess up slightly, and we now have units too far south, that can do nothing. Not move, not reinforce, not attack etc.

Allies
Continued effort in Syria.

2 UK CVs appear in the Ionian Sea and bombard the Italian submarine at Italy's heel. That sub guards the Italian fleet, only 2 points of damage.

EXCELLENT news from Africa. An UK corps, AND O'Connor are destroyed.

The UK comes for my sub between Denmark and Norway, but what they do not know is that I have an entire line there, so they are not able to focus more than two attacks on each sub. No subs are sunk, although we take some damage to a few of them.
At El Alamein, the Commonwealth troops attacks the Italian army occupying the area, and do 6 points of damage, but do not get the kill.

Purchases
Germany purchase Von Kleist and 4 garrisons. The garrisons are because I am nervous about all those ports in France.

Reinforcements
A German submarine is placed off Cuxhaven.

Research
Italy starts working on Infantry Weapons2.

Decisions/Events
The US sends tanks to Egypt. Turkey is not happy about this.

Karl Dönitz suggests that we deploy the U23 in the Med, we say NO.

The UK sends a CV to the coast off Kristiansand that hits one of my DDs for 6 points of damage.
An USSR BB shows up in the Gulf of Riga and shells a panzer, but no damage.
