@BBfanboy, I intend to convert those old DDs to APDs immediately, as the Clemson APD conversion is available at start in this Mod.

@John 3rd, 2-day turns need a different mindset, but I find them doable. They make players more careful, and thus slow the pace of the game a bit. On the other hand, a well-executed raid is something to behold when playing 2-day turns.

Hi,

Just a small update. Finished all existing TFs, Airgroups and Tested my Turn 1 (several times with tweaks).
Not perfect, but generally happy with it.

Only thing left to do is the creating of the new TFs. Although there is about 300 of them, looking good to completing for this weekend.

Dave

Turn 1 coming along nicely. I should be able to post turn 1 results within a week.

Received turn 1 from Falken today. I should be able to send it back to him either today or tomorrow.

There are a few things I am not so sure about how to do. China is one of them. So far I intend to pull back the air force, and vacate the clear hexes. Everything else depends on how big a push he will make there, I guess.

Next turn I need to decide what to send from the East Coast to India. I will not be able to send everything at once, but I need to have a plan.

Will update after turn 1 is run.

China - I've increased devices by at least 50% (except the 300 rifle squads per month). Find the many x3 terrain to defend in. Be careful of overstacking in many places. The higher the SL (Stacking Limits), the more it favors Japan. Many of the C-47 transport air groups go to a hopefully expanded Ledo AF for runs into western China. Every little bit helps. I march the handful of unrestricted LCUs into India (after paying the appropriate PP) were supplies are plentiful and where the need for great Chinese take out restaurants is at. [:D] Send a few more Corp to Wenchow and make it expensive and time consuming for Japan to conquer. The small Corp (under 200 Assault Value) are great for guerrilla warfare and to cut roads/trails.

Ok... turn 1 sent. I have no idea how I am doing (I have followed most of your advice, at least as much as I can with turn 1 house rules). Will post a very condensed result of turn 1 as soon as I have it back.

Air assaults at Davao (lost), Victoria Point (lost).

Now, I am no expert on the Allied side of things, but the result of the Pearl Harbor Attack was better than expected, while the Manila air raids were worse than expected. I did down a few IJN fighters and bombers (most probably less than reported), and Force Z is on the loose. I will listen to reason, but I think I did OK.

You did well at PH by only one CL damaged. The old BBs need updating anyways and since you didn't lose any you don't lose VP to him. He did damage a lot of your subs so you might wan to get them to Colombo or Darwin for repairs and moved possibly further, subs repair rather quickly.

Re: the 52 B-17D damaged, that means 52 bits of fragment damage on an unstated number of aircraft.

Re: the numbers of enemy aircraft lost - IME about half the number of aircraft damaged will not make it back to their ship or base. They will be included in the "Ops Losses" count.
Your most accurate tally of enemy aircraft losses will be in the Intel Report.

Ok... I have the turn now, and there were inconsistencies between the combat report generated by watching the combat replay, and the turn file. Thankfully, they are in my favor:

- Davao has not fallen (yet).
- The 2x DDs from HK have not sunk (yet).

The below will give you a better idea of the turn's results:

Question... is there any way to post images here without using links to an external site?

That is how I do it.

Looks like the damage was spread out pretty well. You didn't lose much of anything...

We'll see how well your opponent tries to whallop the thundering herd as everything tries to flee. We'll also see how good he is with SS Deployment.

His carriers have struck Manila twice already (effectively, I must say). The thundering herd is going to be slower than usual, because many of the ships are damaged. Still, the subs from Cebu are unscathed, and so are the three USN cruisers, so I can't really complain. I am going through the gazillion TFs created on Allied turn 2 (I might have reached the mid-point, but I am not sure). 2 IJN CarDivs are NW of Pearl, with another one W of the Philippines (the one that has attacked Manila twice). I have not seen his battlewagons yet (thankfully).

I reinforced Mersing with another Australian Bde (just in case). I am trying to consolidate units and positions wherever I can, knowing that I will lose ground, but trying to make it as costly as possible. Wish I had more and better fighters, but I'm trying my best with the little I have.

Will post again once turn 2 is done.

We created Cebu as an alternate command post. Adm Hart had made that exact proposal and so, in this reality, we followed his suggestion.

Like all those extra cruisers? How about an extra Brit Battlecruiser???

Force Z escaped untouched. If it can join the USN cruisers from the Philippines, the TF will number 1xBB, 2xBC, 2xCA, 2xCL plus destroyers and older cruisers. As long as there are no enemy flattops nearby, it will be a potent force.
