Again (Taifun was the first who made this), the Axis player forces Greece to Join the Axis.
I guess that Yugoslavia will join Axis in the short future.

On the other hand, Axis subs are very active making a lot of damage to the British convoys.

Well, let's see how the British react.

Thanks for the AAR. Nice to see a 3rd. I'm glad to see you trying a new reporting style but I'd like to add 1 vote for a return to a different style. This one is newsy but seems to offer less analysis, fewer graphics to understand in a bit more detail what's going on, and it's harder to get a sense of how the game is actually playing out. I read AAR's to learn strategy, not to enjoy a story. Just my 2 cents. :)

I see your point entirely! But to be honest this has been a very very tame route so far. The British have not engaged me in the Atlantic despite basically crippling the British convoys, I think British convoy income is less than 25 MPP last turn. The British, have not attacked the weaker Italians in North Africa, and the Axis have been able to diplomatically solve the Balkans.

In short a bullet has not been fired in Europe/Africa since the fall of France. It is Sitzkrieg 2.0.

Once the real war starts I will be bringing back the operational map in USSR, North Africa, and elsewhere.

For now I am posting what is happening in game, (these events are all represented in game) otherwise I would be forced to just skip the post until my opponent engages me [8D]

Thanks for the reply. I have a couple of questions.

When GE offers to give SU Lithuania in exchange for part of E Poland. It will lower SU mobilization by I think about 5% if SU takes the offer. In exchange Lithuania offers 5-10 MPP's per turn. Is it accurate that lowering SU mobilization by 5% will be a net negative to SU income?

Also how did Axis manage to align Greece and (probably upcoming) Yugo? Is this possible in base game or only in this mod?

A) Yes it is my understanding that it is a negative (Net MPP) for the Soviets if they accept the German offer for Lithuania.

B) Greece begins the game Axis leaning (they historically had been an exporter to Germany) and Germany is receiving MPP from Greece on the first turn of the game. Very early in the game, the UK is presented with the option to sign unfavorable trade agreement with Greece to have them swing towards the Allies and severe economic ties with Germany. Germany can continue to pursue German/Greek relations which will only be a partial offset but they will have to use diplomacy chits to bring them back into the Axis sphere of influence if they are to join the Axis. Even then if Greece is to join the Axis it will have to come at the cost of Balkan concessions from Italian Albania and Bulgaria (Which will upset both causing Italian morale to drop and Bulgaria to sign a defensive pact with USSR and will not join the Axis [If you DOW Bulgaria then USSR will join the war). Yugoslavia will join the Axis at an earlier date (before the coup) given that basically the entirety of the Balkans have signed the Tripartite Pact already, this is a mod feature only. There are some other events triggered from these events, like the possibility of transporting light infantry to Iraq through Turkey from Axis Greece or Turkish mobilization as well. Yugoslavia can join the Axis in the base game, but only if UK says no to the Coup.

You will have to excuse me for abandoning the newspaper format, it was becoming rather tedious for me!

But meanwhile:
