Italian damage.

Axis stay, how about Allies?

If aborted, where to? There is Italian NAV on West Med.

East Med 2nd round
Axis 4, Allied 3. Both sides find.

Axis have 7 surprise points.
4 are used to get surface combat.

Axis take X D A
Allies take X D 3A

Remaining 3 points are used to target X on CV Furious.

How do you place D 3A?

I roll Axis damage after this.

Axis stay, how about Allies? If aborted, where to? There is Italian NAV on West Med.

Do The Allies stay? If not, where do they abort?

If they stay, do you commit submarines?

East Med 3rd round.

Axis 9, Allied 2.

How do you want to play this?

If you choose box 0 only, Italian CP is aborted (2 points are used to decrease damage).

If you choose box 0+4, (in surface combat) CW takes X D 3A and Italy takes D A and Italy has 6 surprise points to use. If all are used to increase damage, CW takes 2X D 2A. Italy can also choose submarine combat, but before that Italy can use 4 points to choose surface combat.

If only a convoy is in the 0-box I will try and sink it with my sub. Please confirm the number of surprise points. Any surprise points will be used to avoid damage after being certain I can sink the CP.

Is that all possible?

No. I do not think it is possible to sink the CP.

CW is surprised and can get no surprise points at all. Even if only the Italian 0-box is included the Italians get some surprise points. 2, I think in this case. A submarine combat against the 0-box only abort the CP.

CW is surprised entire impulse. If you choose 0 box, Italy has 2 surprise points and can reduce damage from D to A.

I was not sure if CW is surprised all impulse, I don't think you were either. If you were not, I offer possibility to go back to the moment after round 1 and CW can abort.

When you are surprised, you are surprised the whole impulse. I was shocked when warspite continued the combat. If you are in a surprise impulse, aborting is almost always the right thing.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

The CW choose 0-box and abort the CP.

Allies stay to the bitter end no matter the result.

East Med 4th round.

Axis 4, Allied 2.

Both 0 and 1 box are chosen.

Italy uses 2 points to increase and 4 points to decrease damage.

CW takes 2 X, Italy takes A.

How do you place damage?

Where do you abort your ships after combat is over?
