I keep the French around a long time. British Pound Sterling, Canadian oil and Dominions foodstuff all help delay that meeting in the rail car for quite a while. Matilda tanks & 6 pounder anti-tank guns brew up PzIIIs real good and then all those Czech tanks have to turn tail when the Tommies and the Spitfires start chasing them.

Germany will miss those ground units in 1944...

p.s. Bold German set up. Am exploring that strategy deeply now for a new Annual article. Fortune favors the bold.

Indeed. However, there is a war to win now.

Besides, the German soldier is superior and deserves the best equipment. [;)]

Except when fate crushes the bold deep into the mud, so deep so no one even remember him...

Must mix things up at times. I've begun most, or all, my previous games as Germany in the same way.

A 3 is rolled and that gives Germany 6 surprise points. All are used to increase damage. The D Is placed on the CP, and 3 A disorganizes the destroyer flotilla automatically (will not bother rolling).

Impulse #1 (Axis)

Naval Air:
Germany:
FTR2 -> North Sea 2-box

No strategic bombing.

Ground Strike:
Japan:
NAV2 + FTR2 (as bomber) (Nanchang) -> Changsha

China has one FTR2 available for interception. China has also one AA that can fire on the raid.

Japan has one 5 strength FTR2 available for counter-interception.

Will China intercept the raid?

Interesting deployment with Axis forces. I need to follow how things go...

Had a minor bug and needed to restart.

Japan clears it bombers and the Chinese fighter was aborted. Picture will be added in later post as soon as the Chinese fighter has landed.

In what hex will the Chinese FTR2 land?

The result of the air combat.

Seems that the informative message will appear below the other for more often in this version. [:(]
