A German division makes some weak attacks on Copenhagen,
but fails to take the city.

The UK gets assault and close support tech.
France gets anti-tank tech.

The Germans seem to threaten our northern edge of the Maginot
Line so we use a supply truck on the corps there.

Germany attacks the Netherlands and the Maginot Line at the expected place.
At this point I cannot decide if this is genius or pure folly!

Thanks for your AAR, you are absolutely not talking of the Red army...
Chancellor Gorkon to Captain James T. Kirk:
You don't trust me, do you? I don't blame you. If there is to be a brave new world, our generation is going to have the hardest time living in it.

So far the Soviets have not built anything, only moved forces around. I'll show their deployments in early 1941.

Turn 20: May 24, 1940

Rain mostly halts German operations. The front in France
is static. The Netherlands loses a corps but is still (barely)
in the fight. The French 4th static corps takes a beating from 12
air raids!

Allied forces reposition to contain the breakthrough. I think the German strategy now will be to
roll up the Maginot line. This will take time. However, I am not seeing any great opportunities
for counter-attacks in the area around Metz.

Italy has massed units on the Greek border, while Libya seems to only have garrisons.
In consequence, the Canadian corps and the armor corps is being prepared for deployment in France.

The French economy is doing rather well.

The UK receives armor tech this turn and our 2 armor units should be a
match for any German panzers.

The UK starts oil shipments to France.

Turn 21: June 7, 1940

Germany takes Norway and Metz. The Netherlands clings to its capital.
One French corps and one HQ shatter.

We can now confirm that Germany has at least 3 paratrooper corps. Two were used against
the Maginot Line, one took Oslo. It is also clear that we have been outmaneuvered and
six small corps are in danger of destruction.

In a series of attacks, and with the aid of the entire Allied air force,
we shatter the German motorized corps. This will temporarily put the German
spearhead out of supply and buy us some time.

The UK gains interceptor 41 tech.
The division in Aberdeen leaves garrison mode for possible
amphibious landings at Narvik next turn.
Because of the elevated threat from paratroopers, we will have to heavily garrison
our English ports. No further reinforcements to the BEF will be sent.

De Gaulle takes command of the Alps HQ, which moves north.
A division is railed south to replace and release the mountain corps.
France is actually at 99% manpower, and rebuilds the small corps
that just shattered.

Netherlands surrenders. Belgium is attacked but not conquered.
France loses two small corps (one surrendered, one shattered), as
Germany secures their flanks at Metz.
One German air transport is destroyed as it attempts a resupply mission.
A second transport makes it.
Norwegian ports are fully garrisoned.

Allied High Command decides on a delaying strategy. No attacks are made,
bombers spread out and hit various lead German units with some success.
France uses a few supply trucks.
Belgium sets Reinf./Upgrade to 500.
The UK armor and Canadian corps arrive in Marseille.

Turn 23: July 5, 1940

The German assault continues. Two Belgian corps shatter.
In France, the direction of attack is towards the south.
But have they overextended themselves?

Meanwhile attacks on the British fleet anchored in London
score hits on a cruiser group and the Ark Royal.
