The changes for version 04.02.00.00 should not affect those mods.ORIGINAL: TrogusP96
Also what happens with 4.0.2 to mods like Kakhi in Flames to counter colors, maps or extra units or unit changes etc?
EDIT: the version number was incorrect.

Yes, it is reasonably safe by this time. It is been out a while. IIRC, the main reason for the full version number upgrade was a change to a different version of the compiler. For a while, that inevitably caused problems. Those have, we think, all been sorted out by now.ORIGINAL: Joseignacio
Is it safe now to use the 04.02 beta after the hot patches, and all? I mean, it's a beta, sounds experimental...
If it is, can we go on with games started in previous versions?

I've successfully installed the mod. I think I had to reinstall it after last official release (can't remember version)?ORIGINAL: jjdenver
I tried to install KiF mod with this beta. The mod requires replacing 2 CSV files in the Map Data folder. Will that cause a problem with the beta? I'm not sure what the map data files are used for but I seem to recall that there was some update to those files made in a previous release - maybe a 3.x release, so will over-writing them with very old KiF map data .csv files cause a problem? ty.

All the 04.xx.xx.xx versions require installing additional bpl files. The first 04 version has those 10 files.ORIGINAL: Andres71
I´ve installed the v4.02 without problems but when i try update to MWIF 04 02 01 02 a window tells me that "vclx260.bpl is not found" and "a new installation cocould solve the problem", but after two installations the problem remains.

Thank you for the update.ORIGINAL: Joseignacio
Steve, I believe he forgot to write it here, although I think he did somewhere else, the problem was that he wasn't unzipping the new exe in the right folder I believe. Just so that you know (he is my opponent in the current game).
