Turn 18 + 19
7-21 June 1940

The only good thing about that was that the u-boats have been quiet.... I suspect I know why and what is coming next....

Sadly I failed to take a picture of the income situation....

Meanwhile, back to the main event....

The BEF is destroyed and time on the continent for the British is to be brief... however, the British send an anti-tank unit to co-ordinate a strike against a panzer corps on the German left flank. This is successful and the panzers are destroyed.

I can't do much about the German corps in Maidstone, and so look to France. The Germans are at the gates of Paris....

Turn 24 + Turn 25
31 August - 13 September 1940

Once again the Narvik garrison hangs on by 1 point... and now a corps has arrived to assist so that's that.

In the UK, the 11th Army destroys the German corps that was occupying Maidstone.

Can I get France to hold to November or will it be gone next turn?? I shouldn't have attacked with the defenders of Paris [:(]

Nothing to report in China - calm before the storm...

A quiet time for the convoys too.

Did the US get any boosts from those abortive invasions? If so that was a terrible idea by him.

I still find it weird that there are NO UK ports in any of those landing zones.

Why always with the difficult questions?? [:D]

In all seriousness, I think I need to be looking at this stuff don't I? I just don't think to look - which isn't sensible from a game learning and understanding perspective.

I will have a look when I get my turn (although I won't know the previous numbers). I will also look at some of the other reports to perhaps compare progress of the two games at the same stage.

I think the only major omission is Dover in the south east - although a port in East Anglia would probably be right too (not sure how big these were in 1940 (as opposed to post war growth)). Presumably this is for play balance purposes as the Germans (in control of The Netherlands) would be unstoppable?

Paris falls but France survives.

I will take this opportunity to look at some stats.

I would have liked the French to hold on longer, but the Germans have at least taken some losses so that it not too bad.

I assume this is total British income vs losses from all types - sub and surface ships.
